Will Union Improvements come with this new design?

We have all been waiting for Unions V2 for quite a while now. Will we finaly see something new with the unions now that the site is being redesigned?

There may be an unintended timetable applied to my comment (in this thread at least) about union improvements. The rest of the site will be getting some finishing very soon (and by very soon I mean within the next few months). We have tournaments, forum, and other pages still getting polished. Unions is something a lot of us (not the least of whom is me) would like to see improved. My hope is the current technical problems plaguing unions can be addressed as we work to release the next iteration of community-centered contributions.

We are not short on development opportunities, we are working on big plans right now. I appreciate the votes and the written expression of support for unions. Understanding how many people want unions improved is critical for determining overall priorities for the many important GameSpot projects we have in the pipeline. Right now we don't have a brand new union system waiting in the wings to be simply switched on if enough people vote.

By similar weight, the people who don't ike unions have just as much right to their opinion as those who devoutly support union improvements. We respect everybody's feedback and take it all to heart. In short, the reason I encourage everybody to respond to this grassroots survey is so we, as admins, can ensure we support the right projects at the right time.

Unions are a great idea, I'd love to see some improvements in the system.

Unions are like the number 2 thing of this site's main purpose...in my opinion.

As far as I'm concerned, I'm definitely supporting the idea of fixing the main unions glitches (levels, emblems, newsletter bug etc) and the improvement of them :)

I'll say this and simply this.

The RPG Temple (The #1 RPG Union on this site by the way) is the only reason I bother to use Gamespot on a regular basis aside from strategy guides or to look up release dates.

Unions are the bread and butter of social interaction and if devoted to specific games, foster the most constructive discussion of games on this site.

I think the improvements are needed and should be upgraded along with the site to make them even better.

I spend 90% of my posting time in unions rather then the general boards as I even know people by name in there, it's the community that makes this site what it is. Getting rid of them would most likely stop me coming to gs as I do.

So I would prefer them to be improved.
