@shantd how does god have anything to do with this? isnt life supposed to be created in the image of god? therefore assuming we are the literal reflection of what god is, extra teristerial life would spit in the face of religion, honestly i believe one of the largest inhibiting factors, to the reason we still havent encountered "aliens" is because our governments, our society isnt ready for them.. look at the technological leap we've had in the last 100 to 50 years are you telling me that humans alone did this, microwave technology was one of the biggest things to come out closest to that of the roseweld incident, and is would be so hard to believe that maybe for years humans have been reverse engineering "alien" technology? To me to think their is no intelligent life out there is just naive
@Duke_51 @Liliroots why is it always the consensus that extraterrestrial life is always off planet? What if they are already here, there are places on our planet that we can't explore that we haven't found.. What if they are already among us? Kind of scary right? But I know this sounds conspiracy like but what if we're told that life is outside of our planet to draw our attention from searching for it here? Food for thought :) but we're not alone here
@johnd13 the only thing im worried about is the genetic modification of viruses.. How can they guarentee that they won't mutate for the worse.. The common cold is one of the hardest things to irradiate just simply because its mutates so much. Thats the only thing i see wrong about GM

If you hadn't realised soldiers under your definition of service men are civilian protectors, take the japense attempting to invade Australia if it were not for OUR soldiers willing to lay down their lives for us, Australia would be a very different country.. and no i dont agree with all policies followed through by many world leaders, and yes their is much to gain by attacking some countries... BUT you cannot deny the radicalization of some individuals in the global community that will kill an Australian or an American just because of nationality, you cannot deny religious zealots preaching to kill westerners.. so before you run your mouth look at your definition of hero or a service men because as far as the majority of people are concerned, a man or woman that is willing to lay down their life for faceless population is a hero and a service man
