Actually what I LOVE about Killzone Shadowfall is the fact that there are moments of downtime....

Its not just retarded non stop action ala Call of Duty/Battlefield.

Gueriall Games did a great job with that and i hope they continue with that as well in future Kilkzone games (if there are any planned)

First 70% of Killzone Shadowfall has superb pacing for an FPS game

Bebpo:

"At world 5 and Knack's really become my favorite PS4 game. I even like the story. It's simple but it has characters and a plot of adventure and that's more than you can say about a lot of games these days.

At first I was enjoying it but also thinking "I probably wouldn't be particularly excited for a sequel" but now I'd totally play a Knack 2. I hope the probably decent->good sales due to it being a launch game will offset the unwarranted harsh low review scores and allow a sequel to be greenlit. It's a really nice start for a new Sony action platformer series and with Ratchet on its way out, they could certainly use a new franchise in the genre.

Also I was showing PS4 games to one of my friends and Knack was the only game they really enjoyed out of the launch titles and were impressed by the visual leap from PS3/X360."

Formulated opinion and reasonable? Hmmm You call Forza/killer instinct/dead rising 3 cookie cutter never really explained much on why but oddly enough the stuff you said that made KZSF so great have already been done in games and most of all you probably haven't played those xbox games.

Most FPS today take place in linear corridors.

Killzone Shadowfall has some very open big levels. Objectives can even be tackled in any order.....when is the last time thats ever been done in a pure FPS? Exactly

Plus Killzone has the owl and all its tactical abilities it offers, which seperates it self from the pact of current FPS..

Killzone is NOT like the current FPS of today, not in any way shape or form...

You must have missed where i made that point specifically and proved it several times in prior posts!

How convenient to ignore that and only focus on what i said about xbone games in the last sentence of my post

Are you that much of an offended xbot? Youre pathetic.

Look, Dead Rising 3 is just another cookie cutter generic zombie game and it is another by the books Dead Rising game....I dont need to have played it to see that in its gameplay footage....

Just like how Forza is another by the books Forza game etc

Killzone Shadowfall actually switched up its formula dramatically from past Killzone games

So you think youre poiting out some bit of hypocrisy too but youre not. Youre only pointing out how dumb you are and how much you lack basic reading conprehension.

Also,

My cousin did get an xbone. I refuse to ever get an xbone.

He has played all the xbone games...

And he played Killzone and Knack with me prior ...and guess what? He echoed the same sentiment....he agreed that Killzone and Knack were a lot more inspired, challenging, and fresh etc

He said that he could tell that launch xbone exclusives catered to the typical American douche-bro gamers with ADD disorder.......while PS4 launch exclusives(plus all those PS4 indies) catered to people with more intelligence and more unique tastes

Ive talked about the Last of Us (still one more post left, part 3 to come sooon haha)

Naughty Dog are the best gameplay designers out there too. Dont let their prowess in other areas fool you. Naughty Dog is the best AT IT ALL

But I want to switch and talk about Uncharted for a moment before I go back to the Last of Us.

Think about how awesome the village levels were in Uncharted 2...

The iconic train level, which also flawlessly transitioned in to the later half of the game etc....was mind blowing at the time.....

Chapters 5-8

The first major open dynamic gun battle in Shambala...

The snow level after the train wreck etc

^ all were some of the most brilliant designed encounters/gun battles ever found in a TPS and Naughty Dog is responsible for creating all of them with Uncharted 2....

Uncharted 2 was easily the best pure TPS of its time.. Even to this day many of the best pure TPS levels/battles ever designed are still to be found in Uncharted 2 (hell, the shipyard level in Uncharted 3 remains the best pure TPS level ever IMO)

Im really getting sick of this blatant BS that Uncharted has bad gameplay etc

So far removed from reality

If anything, Gears of War has had truly shitty gunplay-no hit detection on enemies. Slow clunky tank like controls. Bullet sponge enemies etc

Yeah, Uncharted has had bullet sponge enemies too, to a lesser degee, but Gears doesnt have better gameplay then Uncharted. The speed and smoothness of the gameplay in Uncharted, plus the verticality factor in its combat gives Uncharted its big edge over Gears in the gameplay. Gears is just a static boring shallow repetitive pop and shoot shooter from cover to cover corridor to corridor and cover to cover etc

Uncharted's gameplay is criminally under rated.

At least the Last of Us is widley regarded for its superb thought provoking gameplay though

But all in all, Naughty Dog is soo criminally under rated for their gameplay prowess.

Just because they do everything else great, that doesnt mean they dont do great gameplay either, because Naughty Dog has continued to prove that they can and do do great gameplay

Gears was unique, until every game out there lifted their cover mechanics.

In no way shape or form was Gears revolutionary. Thats laughable.

Gears of War was a blatant coptly cat of Killswitch!

Killswitch is the game that inspired most third person shooters from this gen.

Gears of War was NOT the first cover shooter! It was simply the first to copy cover shooting and get famous for it (Despicable how Microsoft marketed Gears as being the first cover shooter out there, when in reality it was a copy cat of Killswitch)

Also, gun play is the SOLE focus of Gears of War(very repetitive game) and the gunplay itself in Gears is garbage.

The game that revolutionzed this gen was Uncharted 2....and I can give you a ton of examples if you want to get into it.....

Microsoft releases the same old boring Gears/Halo/Forza games year in and year out.

Microsoft does the absolute bare minimum in all regards.

There are MUCH MUCH better FPS games out there then Halo, MUCH MUCH MUCH better TPS games out there then Gears, and better racers out there then Forza etc

Gears and Halo are pretty much dead in the water now as franchises.....thank god...

Gears and Halo need to switch it up and do a serious revamp or they should completely die off already..

if you really wanted a decent MP game get a multiplat game like Ghost (really terrible but still better than Killzone) and the finalBoss BF4.

Your an idiot, the story was crap

Bullshit

Every FPS ever has had a shitty story....dont just single out Shadowfall.....only a hater or troll would do that.

Killzone Shadowfall in relation to other FPS has a good FPS story in fact.

Judge it as a FPS....

There really is NOTHING awful about the story in Shadowfall....its not as bad as a Halo story.....people are over exaggerating.....its just not anything amazing in general....but again, as an FPS it has a good FPS story....

All in all, Knack is the best launch game i have played...

Knack is suprisngly challenging, addicting, and very fun.

I really enjoyed the story too.

I hope Sony persues a sequel with Knack too.

The old school beat'em combat is perfect as it is....its timing based and skill based which I loved.......I liked when you had to get past an obstacle too....especially the stages that mixed obstacles with combat....i want to see more of that...

but when there is too much of anything it can become a little tiresome.

In a sequel just offer more obstacles, more exploration at certain times, and puzzles to keep the beat'em combat fresh through out.....then the beat'em combat can really begin to shine through inbetween sections....would add a lot...make sure everything is paced well....

Also just add more moves...

Oh and let us switch between metal/stealth/ice/fire Knack at will......

That would be awesome.....and especially if puzzels or levels took advantage of each stage of Knack and you had to decide which one to switch to on the fly...maybe even puzzles requring you to switch between them all....who knows haha...

But one thing i do know is that Knack has the potential to be an awesome franchise. Please give it another go Sony!

And what ever you decide to do im sure it will be awesome..

I know Knack can become a friggen awesome killer app kind of game

Im sure the launch dead line hurt it too.
