I think FFIV DS is the greatest gift to Final Fantasy fans so far. Only thing greater would be if Square remade FFVI for the DS or FFVII for the PS3.

I dunno, I'd think remaking FFVI would be just pushing it, because they'd be remaking another game that's been remade 2/3 times, and an FFVII would just be fully milking the "series".

Oh please, don't say that and ruin my hopes! My only wish for the DS now is not another Zelda, not another Metroid, or not another Super Mario game...but all I wish for is a FFVI remake and my DS collection is complete!

Dont' worry, this one (iv remake) is gonna sell very well. In this case SE will probably remake ff 5, and that would probably sell well, then they will remake vi! I heard this from a lot of people, and on a syt(but i forgot what the actual site was)

Whenever I think 3D FFVI, I think FF6's N64 tech demo. o_o
But I'm sure they will consider remaking it, although FFIV's remake was to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Square, wasn't it? >_>

I would suggest FFIII or IV (I think IV is better), that is where I would start there.

FFIII? I wouldn't start off with that. If you mind starting from a diff console/handheld, I'd start at either 8 or 9, and then continue back or forwards from there. I'd personally play 4, 6, and 5, and then play the PS2 ones, playing 1, 2, and 3 once you get a feel for the games. IMO, 1, 2, and 3 were great for its time, but the weak plotline and grinding hurts'em hard. Hmm... if you only want to play on the DS, play 4 first (DS), then 6 (GBA version). ...notice I skipped 7, you can really play it at any time you want. I think if you start on the PS1's FFs, you'll be more likely to play FF7. I don't think FF7 is all that great of a FF either way, even though it's true lots of people obsess over it. ;)

well, actually, i didn't mention this earlier, but if you're anything like me, twewy will be repetitive as hell.

edit: FF4 is quite a bit harder than TWEWY.

IMO, MGS1 is a lot better than MGS3.

FF VIII, definitely. FF IX, sure. FF VII, I didn't enjoy so much, but if you want to know what the ratings are all about, play it. Most people enjoy it. :)

Also, just a warning beforehand; you'll need a PS1 memory card to save.
