9/10 and editors choice! shut the **** up everyone! I wonder how many people have actually played the game, and yet are still demanding a 10. It was exactly the same with last of us, with people slating the review a week before it came out. Get the game, then bitch about the score. Otherwise, Carolyns review actually means more to me than everybody else who has commented....
I have mixed views on this. Nostalgia always makes me purchase a silent hill game, knowing full well I have not enjoyed Silent Hill since Silent Hill 3, Also, after i bought sonic 4, episode 1, i went back through and completed 1 and 2 back to back because i was worried that all sonics were terrible. However, i have loved all zeldas and do not care if its nostalgia that blinds me to purchase, because chances are i will thoroughly enjoy it no matter what (although every now and again, i always go back and complete a link to the past). Truth is, nostalgia of a past series of a game (ie zelda, final fantasy) is a bonus if you enjoy the next in the series and your nostalgia and fondness for the series will grow with it....
It was also nostalgia that made me buy duke nukem forever, despite all the warnings....

I actually liked riptide. If you are playing most games with a couple mates and not taking it too seriously you can have a lot of fun with any, so called, 'bad' games....
