the real answer to your question is, it is just random. i work at best buy and they are always doing random price drops on games. assasins creed was 37$ for the ps3 last week. then cod4 was 44$ on 360 last week.
just think about all the people still downloading the 2.0 update and downloading the new stuff from ps store, oh and not to mention cod4 released. it will be fine in a day or two.
i remember madden 2000 and 2001. oh, and 2005, were probably the best maddens ever created.
oh and as for most game deveopers wanting money,... rockstar .... delay ... ea.... a great football ffranchise that is slowly dying off, money makes the world go round.. as long as we buy it, they will continue to make bad games.
i work at best buy, and it is shown in the ad, because the flyer was made previous to Lair being delayed. all the stores should have post correction notices of the delay in the ps3 gaming sction of the store
