Do people type their OP's anymore? I understand posting an article, but that's it? Just copy, paste and post?
Oh, sorry. You typed source. Well.. gee wiz.
What the hell do you expect me to add to this? My opinion?
I'm definitely interested in the game. But I think they might be showing too much of it. A few bullshots plus gameplay trailer is already enough.
The project will be shut down by Sega before it can release to anyone.
This.
It doesn't look that much different to Metro LL on PC (2013 version). I guess the characters are better animated and stuff?
Not really. The animations looked the same and I doubt they would improve them.
How about dat frame rate on PS4? Interested to see if Digital Foundry takes a look at this one.
They did. The frame-rate is very stable on the PS4 albeit with occasional hiccups.

Anyone paying vague attention to the PC games market has long known that it's a space dominated by downloadable titles? Still, it's a bit astounding to hear a report estimating that a full 92 percent of PC game sales in 2013 came from digital downloads, as DFC Intelligence recently told British tech site PCR.
That may sound high, even to people who haven't bought a PC game on a disc for years, but it lines up with other numbers reported throughout the industry. Last year, Payday 2 publisher Starbreeze announced that 80 percent of its 1.58 million first-month sales came from downloads, for instance. And let's not forget the scores of PC games that are totally ignoring retail sales for 100 percent downloadable releases these days, from Dota 2 to Day Z.

That just means there are 78% of stupid people in this thread
You are not conforming.
Dude what? Who told you that, Remedy and/or Sony? That isn't true at all.
He's right.
Assuming they go with temporal SMAA and 1080p, they would only see a performance increase. 1920x800's performance is actually very close to 900p's. Basically, 4x MSAA (and presumably, they're also using alpha-to-coverage) is killing whatever performance they had without MSAA. I think their 4x MSAA decision was inane.
Some people might not realize this, but The Order devs have a lot of tricks to hide visual imperfections.
this thread is so incredibly pointless.
They already said they dropped the res to have 4x MSAA instead of 2x, and that they can't do higher frame-rate with the current quality of the game. So knowing these limitations they went with they thought it was the best.
And yes, this is artistic direction. If they wanted higher frame-rate or resolution they could have gimped the lighting or something else but they didn't.

"But one thing that really changes is the aesthetic of the game in 60 fps. We're going for this filmic look, so one thing that we knew immediately was films run at 24 fps. We're gonna run at 30 because 24 fps does not feel good to play. So there's one concession in terms of making it aesthetically pleasing, because it just has to feel good to play."

This is the quotation that has everyone pissed off. They somehow thought they were going to fool their fans into thinking 30FPS was better. They could have provided the real reason, but no.
