@godzillavskong I'm not questioning their success, I'm questioning their design philosophy, which seems to be that any game can be made more fun with better graphics, which is not true.
@Grovilis Well, sometimes a great game, like Xenoblade Chronicles, can be overlooked by graphics whores if it's not up to their technical specifications.
Long story short: gameplay > graphics, and Epic spends way more time talking about graphics than gameplay.
Nowadays, buying new games is like playing $60 games of Russian roulette, since those games might not be good enough to warrant paying that much, even if it comes from a popular franchise (just look at Ninja Gaiden 3). This sort of thing is what drives people to go for cheaper used games.
