@suffering-evil It's also a possibility that once they release the hardware and it is "free" to use a used game, they will backflip on that decision and make a firmware update mandatory that bans used games.
@Sigil-otaku That logic also applies to purchases made on the Playstation Network and on Xbox Live. The benefit is that they are generally cheaper when downloaded straight from the source, no middle men, no physical goods to produce/ship/distribute, no wages to pay the people selling the goods.
People are angry that you will not be able to sell the physical game if they no longer want it, that is why people opt to buy the boxed game. They aren't angry because you "can't sell your downloaded game"
If used games are blocked next generation then I will refuse to buy any of the offending hardware. I don't need another console anyway, nothing will buy me back once they decide to block used games, NOTHING.
@blacksaibot Me too! But don't deny it would be a sweet@ss concept! Maybe not with Smash Bros in it, but nearly all the other franchises I mentioned would be able to be combined. Considering half of them have already been in crossover games together anyway, it wouldn't be an impossible feat. The hardest part would be getting all the individual IP owners to agree to make it and collaborate together, the balancing aspect would be a piece of cake in comparison to getting everyone to say "Yes!" to it.
