Has there been a solution to the "cant see other post without posting" problem?SubGum

I'm having this problem, not on the main forums but on the boards connected to games. The "Discuss this game" ones. If that makes sense.

I either have to post to see more posts in a topic, or wait like an hour.

Yep, I'm still having this problem. Is there any update on this possibly being resolved soon? It's INCREDIBLY disruptive to using the forums.

I'd tell you it's not that disruptive, but you'd not see it til you posted again anyway.

FWIW I too am afflicted with this lack of new posts showing up. And have mentioned it before. The quick reply/quick quote options still don't work right either.

ok, here's what I've noticed:

Search function is inaccurate or worse, influenced by money. I searched for "transformers" and get the first 3 results as the various platforms' versions of Resident Evil 5 because it has the word "transforming" in the synopsis. The actual Transformers games start after that. Either something's broken or Capcom pays you more than Activision.

The forums are unmoderated or badly moderated. Duplicate topics and trolls abound.

The forums don't work right. Posting is sometimes a chore. Choosing "Quick Quote" can take a whole lot longer than simply making a blank reply, as it usually gives an error telling me "my HTML" is formatted wrong. I'm not putting in any HTML so it's obviously something on the forum's side, which is really unprofessional and even more irritating. Also, pressing "Enter" doesn't always equate to moving on to the next line somehow. Again, highly unprofessional, in fact, it's almost unthinkable and not something I've come across on even the most basic of forums, let alone on a technology themed site.

Definitely 1080 compatible. Playing in 1080i right now. It's just trying to set to 1080p that it doesn't like, which I think may only be supported from HDMI. Is there really any difference between i and p? The first answer I got from google seemed to imply that 1080p was what LCD TVs are designed for, but right now, I'm pretty sure it's miles ahead of my old CRT telly, so if it won't do no harm, I'll stick with it.

Ok, I've just got an HD tv, which I'm now trying to set up my xbox with the component cable that the console came with. Taking off the scart adapter I had for my old tv, and plugging the those cables in the correct slots on the tv shows up picture and sound fine. I've had problems when changing the switch on the cable from TV to HDTV, but seem to have gotten 1080i on now. When I try to put it to 1080p, it just gives me a black screen. Might I be right in thinking I need to buy an HDMI cable to display 1080p from my console? The TV definitely supports either, but maybe doesn't pick it up when using the component?
