Really? This is what they worry about when thinking of wasted energy? A great deal more is wasted by things like people not turning off the light when no one is in the room etc.
I just went and watched the Watch Dogs E3 2012 reveal and the recently released Nvidia tech trailer again, and the graphics look the same, if not better, in the new trailer. The PC version will at least deliver the graphics we were promised, but I still have worries about the gameplay. Hopefully, it won't just be a modern day Assassin's Creed.
Why is everyone overreacting about the 780 requirement. It's obviously a marketing ploy, given this IS a Nvidia endorsed game. They're obviously going to want people to shell out for a new Nvidia GPU. Just turn off TXAA, which isn't even that good as it really blurs everything, and you've halved the GPU requirement.
@eze_sl89 @funkyzoom It's a losing game from the developer's perspective. Don't change and people complain it's a lame copy & paste job, change and people complain you didn't stay true to the franchise. Just look at Splinter Cell Conviction and all the hate it got for changing the formula even though it was a decent game in its own right.
Far Cry 2 wasn't bad but FC2's world was pretty empty though save for the ever respawning guards. Mechanics like gun jamming and malaria later became annoyances rather than something that added to the immersion.
