@tanerb: EA has driven many franchises into the ground. Sim City, C&C etc. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if ME:A sucked balls, although I really hope it doesn't.
@yolomaster: I think people are over reacting but it is a fact that it's an inconvenience to have all your games on Steam except that one game somewhere else. It's the same reason Origin got so much hate when it launched and was the only way to get EA's games.
Unless you can go back in time and see what the difference is for the same game, it's all speculation. If a game get's cracked and doesn't sell well, is it due to piracy or is it just a bad game? Conversely, if the game doesn't get cracked and sells well, maybe it's just a good game?
@Tiwill44: As seen in Eurogamer's video, there's only two settings you can change: chromatic aberration and sharpening. Both post-process effects that should have next to no impact on frame rate. The game will be capped at 30 no matter what.
@Xirtahm: Of course. Also, the campaign would be split into four parts, and it'll take another decade after the initial launch for all four parts to come out.
On the one hand, the parent is an idiot and the kid is obviously lying. He thought it was a one time fee? Please. Xbox would have asked to confirm the purchase every time. On the other hand, it's also sad that games are designed to screw you out of every extra dollar so that things like this can happen.
