For me GTA IV !

When playing against someone in say Tiger Woods, FIFA09 or NBA 2K9 (Or any game for that matter) is there anyway of knowing if someone is "wired for sound" with their headphones connected to their controllers? As I often plug mine and say hello but nothing. In Tiger Woods 09 however once I plugged in the headphone and someone said "How ya doin?" just out of the blue, I presume you know just like that?

Sorry forgot to add, I have registered with XBOX.com, but only did this after being online not before, if this helps or hinders anyone.

I have 4700G with my offline profile, recently joined XBOX live only 65G garnered so far online.

Ultimate Aim: to get rid of my online profile and use my offline profile online.

I have read the official MS XBOX procedure as on their website, but its a little hard to follow (Does anyone else think this?) Does any one have a straight forward procedure that I could follow.

There's got to be 1000's of people who faced this and successfully did it.

It's a really shame using the new online profile, for example in Tiger Woods 09 I pretty respectable stats on my offline profile, but with the new profile online I have nothing and play crap!
