@Xristophoros: They are fair points and as much as I love R* and the GTA series they do drag on a bit. With that said Red Dead Redemption is my favourite of all their games. I think that is purely based on my love of spaghetti westerns, A fist full of dollars, a few dollars more, the good the bad the ugly - these movies I was obsessed with as a child and having the ability to play them out in games just blew my mind. I think I will love this game and cannot flipping wait to make my character look like Blondie hahahaha.
That is a slack review! How did it perform from a technical angle? Graphics, control mechanics, score, frame rates etc. Was the PS4 pro up to the task of running it?
Surely a game with such expectations gets a review that isn’t half hearted?
@Pierce_Sparrow: I don't know man, a lot of shit went down over the 6 years WW2 raged. So many amazing stories from all sides and I don't think they could ever run out tales to tell from that era. The problem I see is we just keep getting the same major battles over and over which I completely understand from a games point of view as they need to play it safe. However a Russian v Norway MP map would be sweet, Germans Invasion of Poland, Czech, France, The US landings in North Africa, British battle for Crete, the conflict through out the Balkans, they could do it if they were willing to take some risks.
@ronaldmcreagan: Geez tough crowd XD - I can appreciate your opinion though man and that is fair enough. As a lover of spaghetti Westerns this game for me was a dream come true. I played it through from start to finish on 3 occasions and it sits in my top 3 games of all time. Really looking forward to this.
@michellebennet: Haven't touched forza since forza 3 as it's the same $h!t year in year out. Forza, Halo, and Gears all got a little stale for me after their 3rd rehashes/launches, but power to you if you love them. I was a xbot through and through and never owned a PS until this gen, mainly because I hated the PS controller, but in this instance I took a punt and the grass was instantly greener based on the exclusives alone. I might as well have taken the $400+ i spent on my x1 and torched it, it has literally not fired a shot in anger in 2 years. In fact it's been packed away since I moved in to my new home and I don't know where it is. Forza hahahah F*%k me get with the times love and get on the Sony train you're missing out. I'm pretty content with my PS pro on my X90F 75 inch bravia. If I needed to play Forza, sure I could but there are a few other titles that need to be knocked on the head before I was so $h!t board I felt like driving a few laps of that dead horse.
@RevengeNegative: Spot on bro. Two of my favourite franchises of late are Tomb raider and Horizon Zero Dawn. No issues with female lead characters there, they rocked arse. You try and shoe horn it in where it doesn't belong (WW2 key battles) in the name of making money through micro transactions with prosthetic limbs, katanas and the like what do you think was going to happen FFS? I've been playing battlefield since 1942 but at this stage I'll be skipping this.
