No way, the gamepad is the best part of the system, why drop it? I can play my Wii U console games in the bathroom, kitchen, and bedroom, across 3 floors. It also works well with children.
Smart move for Nintendo. The gamepad artwork will probably cost them 50 cents and the digital game only costs them server bandwidth. If I didn't already have a Wii U I would definitely get this.
Thanks for making this thread, I was sure Mario was supposed to come in December. Now I know I'm not crazy. Anyways this is smart, brand new Mario to go with a Wii U for Black Friday. Maybe there will be some sort of bundle as well too.
I have 3 kids. If I'm home I can get one hour in during their lunch time nap in which I usually play DS/3DS. Otherwise, it's between 0-3 hours in from 8pm-11pm in which I play consoles. The 0-3 hours variable depends on studying/homework and if the wife and I will spend time watching TV or doing whatever.
Routine and efficient time keeping is essential obviously.
I guess this can only help sales which is good... The more options the better. I'm guessing this version costs less to manufacture and gives more profit per unit sold than the others too.
The 2DS is coming out 12 Oct alongside Pokemon X and Y. It will be priced at $130. Will you be getting the 2DS?
Personally I love the idea of a non 3D 3DS as silly as it sounds, but I will not be getting the 2DS because of the scrapped clamshell design. I like how the clamshell protects my handhelds. Other than that, the lower price and new look should appeal to kids. The battery life will probably improve a lot as well.
