Give me any good reason why Microsoft isn't in a hurry to release a new Xbox and dump the 360 as they did the original Xbox

They are losing even more money on the Xbox 360 than theydid on the Xbox

3 year warranties to cover the RROD is costing them billions

Many SKUs with more to come proves the orginal designs were flawed and not very thought out

If 2008 turns out to be a bad year for the 360 and PS3 makes a big run at it look for announcements at E3 '09 for a new Xbox Q4 '10.

Why would any company want to support a product that is costing them billions?

So lemmings, what are you going to do when Microsoft cuts ALL support to your console after 5 years yet again?

Are you still going to rush out to buy their console after your experience with the 360?

LOL, where's the next hyped 360 game, eh? After Blue Dragon, that 'Final Fantasy Killer' flopped hard? Oh yeah, after the flop in waiting that is Halo 3, there's... Not much really... Whereas we have Folklore (AA), Ratchet Future (AAA IMO), FFXIII (AAA), KZ2 (AAA), Uncharted (AA), Infamous (AA), LBP (AAA), and all the rest. Cows win.ShmenonPie

We already got Bioshock - then there's Mass Effect, Halo 3, and World in Conflict, all of which will be AAA. There will be some AA games too, but I don't really care about those. Cows are scrambling for the AA's because there are no AAA's. Sigma is not exclusive in my eyes. And then there are all those multiplats that will be better on 360. Plus, have fun waiting for "T3h POTENTIAL!" I'll be playing Halo 3. And when the entire review community gives the Halo series 9.0+ and you think it' a bad game, go get yourself checked out.

I didn't say it was a failure, hence the (some people's opinions)... I thought it was a great game, but after the initial joy wore off... I realized it wasn't as great as it should've been.

How much development time do you think Halo 2 got? 2 years? 3 years? After working on the game for two years and delaying the game for 1, they realized that their current version of Halo 2 was not what they were going after, and scrapped the WHOLE thing. They basically had a year to develop the whole thing. They didn't want to delay it anymore, and probably received pressure from Microsoft to push it out the door. And that is why Halo 2 was an underpar experience.

EDIT: I am not calling Halo 2 a failure. It was a great game, but it could have been so much more.

Yep. Thats right. The only game that even comes close to chalenging Halo 3 is Warhawk. As we all know, people don't buy Halo 3 for the Single player, they buy it for the MP. And thats just what Warhawk does best. Now i am not trying to say that the beast that is Halo 3 will get dethroned by a PSN game, but i think that this is one of the rare games that really challeges that supereriority.
