I used the gamecube controller with super metroid and it wasn't a problem except for when I tried to do the wall jumps. I would imagine an RPG shouldn't be a problem since it has minimal inputs.

If you actually read what the Gamespot review says, it doesn't sound like a game that deserves a 6.5. The review makes it sound like a 7.5-8.0 kind of game. I've really been questioning Gamespot's reviews a lot ever since a bunch of the old reviewers left. Read the review on 1UP, it seems to be much more fair.

I haven't played the game yet, but it looks like a solid game to get, especially if you've got other people to play it with. Most of the Mario sports games are great with a group of friends.

Well, in a way I agree with you. But, part of what makes the games great is the fact that they are "pokemon". The nostalgia is a huge factor in why I still enjoy playing these games. I may be the 22 year old who still plays pokemon games, but honestly I don't give a crap about what other people think of me when I buy the game.

The game would be more than one DVD, but the way MGS 4 had it installs I would rather have more than one DVD and you have to change DVDs every Act, rather than installing for every Act.

Chaos_HL21

Same here. I can change a disk in less than a minute. MGS4 had over 30 minutes of installation time and takes up 4.6 GB of my hard drive. Ridiculous.

I would buy it if it was a bit cheaper. maybe $10-20ish.Seigfried249

Agreed. This is a game that should just be released on the VC for the standard SNES game price rather than a $30-$40 DS port. It's not like they're doing a 3D remake like they've done with FFIII and IV.

The "essential collection" is a boxed set with three separate disks that comes with MGS1, MGS2:Substance, and MGS3:Subsistence. If yours did not come with three disks, then you didn't buy the essential collection you just bought MGS3:Subsistence, which does not have the other two games on the same disk.

I never got to play this game, so I'm fairly interrested in giving it a try. My only problem is that this is just a straight-up port and doesn't have any major differences from the original (one extra dungeon doesn't count) and yet they're still going to charge $35-$40. What I really want is for them to release this on the virtual console since it will be cheaper.

Yeah, there are two types of pins that are activated using the mic. One has you blow in it and the other makes you yell into it.

I like Melee the best. Brawl is fun, but it is far too random as far as who wins matches. Your character can trip while running, sometimes I fall faster than others and it throws off my timing, and the smash ball is waaaay over-powered. Still a great game, but melee is the true judge of who has the most skill.
