Post CES 2013, Gamespot seems to have doubled their ad-trackers. Not a surprise, I know, but interesting considering how much they employ to begin with.
M$ continually increasing their gold subscription fees and now Sony wants to bar the used gaming market. I suspect Valve's Steambox will be a hot ticket item when it releases. All hail Steambox!
Studies have already debunked the myth of games promoting violence in individuals. Indeed there is at least some evidence that runs contrary. The truth of the matter is, violent video games and all other violent media, have merely the neutral but otherwise unfavorable effect of de-sensetizing those exposed to it. It's clear the NRA were desperate for a scapegoat.
@Ladiesman17 I think you mean the former Sony CEO Howard Stringer, who indeed received some bad marks from analysts. Current CEO Kaz Hirai has only been around a couple of years.
@Micropixel @GamerOuTLaWz Angry fanboism aside, there reeeaaalllyyy... isn't anything revolutionary about the Wii U. The Kinect has more of the innovation niche down, even though it has been hardly capitalized on.
I told myself to hold off on further dlc, but Omega was by far my favorite part of Mass Effect 2. Definitely will want to see a continuation of it in ME3.
It's going to do well, but whether or not it repeats the atmospheric success this generation will be based on whether or not they can woo the same casual audience they won over this round. Judging by my two casual gaming sisters' lack of interest in the Wii U, the console may have some issues hitting gold again.
