@itsdanaman my theory on what microsoft is doing with the restriction on games is they are attempting to turn xbox live into something similar to steam. Which in my opinion will give them the opportunity to offer daily and weekly sales on games which will result in more games being sold and in the long run be a very smart move. If my theory is correct sony will not be able to compete with the discounted prices due to them not choosing to go this route.. just my opinion..
@argonath77 @bigb21 did you not read my post I have a high end gaming PC and I love playing battlefield 3 on it but thats about it.. not much into mmos because most of them have crappy combat systems and to be honest look like crap because they have to dumb down the graphics to reduce lag...
@argonath77 the only issue i have with pc gaming is 90% of these games are ported from consoles. They are extremely buggy and dont look any better than the console version. Im running a i7 wtih a 560GTI 448 core and 16gb of memory and my xbox 360 looks almost as good. 99% of the games with the exception of PC exclusives and battlefield 3 and Skyrim which look 100 times better on my pc.
@eos5d http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/548?vs=521 the current gen video card in a Ps3 was supposedly comparable to a Nvidia 6800. I couldnt find a benchmark comparing the AMD 7870 with such an outdated card, the closest I could find is with a nvidia 8800GT which is far superior to the 6800 and you can see how the AMD7870 is miles ahead of the 8800.
@MJ12-Conspiracy @Marky360 The pc version of GTA IV was an absolute mess... I had a high end PC at the time it released and was unable to ever get it running right. constantly freezing, black screen etc... not to mention games for windows live...... I learned my lesson then do not purchase games that have been ported from console. They almost always 99% of the time run better and for the most part look the same only just look at the call of duty's I have both COD MW3 and Black ops on the pc and xbox 360. I have a 560ti 448 Core EVGA superclocked in my pc and I swear MW3 looks no better on my pc and it seems to run better on the 360.
@Johan8 they would need new hardware to do this xbox 360 and ps3 have been maxxed out for years you cant have a noticeable improvement in graphics using the same 7 year old tech.
