The price is kind of insane. A Raspberry Pi running one of the many incredibly accurate NES software emulators will output a pixel accurate picture in 1080p for a couple of bucks. The Retron 5 as well, though I've heard of quite a few build quality issues with that system.

At least they aren't likely to make many of these, otherwise scavenging the hardware would become a problem too.

If you haven't played the Riddick games, you really should get on that.

@RSM-HQ: I have dozens of PS2 and PS1 games. I'd love a system that can play them all and can output a crisp picture over HDMI for a modern TV. As for emulation on the PS4, being able to play the discs is just a bonus for the old nerds like me (if it even materialises), the real boon will be selling PS1 and PS2 titles digitally.

@barbarossa213: They did try advertising Valkyria Chronicles, there was even a giant launch party for press. They just didn't bother writing about any of it because they thought people wouldn't be interested. It's not SEGA's fault Valkyria Chronicles wasn't covered, hell some sites didn't even review it until months later.

I'd imagine when mod support eventually launches for consoles it'll just be a select few preapproved mods that are allowed.

There's no chance that either MS or Sony are going to let anything on there that could affect the security of the systems or infringe on trademarks etc.

Also a few reports of save corruption and hard crashes etc. But don't let that those small issues make you wonder why it's gotten rave reviews while you're reinstalling the game after losing hours of progress,

@DanielL5583: The Metal Gears Solids have generally sold around the six million mark with the exception of 3 (Which sold around 4 maybe because it released late in the PS2's life and people were kind of annoyed after MGS 2)

For all the significance the series has, it's never really been a massive seller.
