reviewers are morons. What else is new? They have no credibility at all to anyone with sense. The only opinions that should matter outside of your own are that of fansites. For instance, who gives a **** if every reviewer out there gave SC2 a 10/10 or a 1/10. The only opinions that would matter are those from websites such as Team Liquid. If they say the game is good, game is good. If they say it sucks, it sucks regardless what the reviewers say. They are just dumbass trolls these days. Just about all of them happily take bribes.

[QUOTE="Ravensmash"] Great for you! I've also played Halo, and an abundance of PC shooters - heck, I own TF2/CS:S etc. What you're stating is an opinion. In my opinion TF2 doesn't make Halo irrelevant in any way whatsoever - and hopefully, gamers who appreciate quality also share that viewpoint with me. Why would I buy a PS3 and GT5 when I have a 360 with Forza 3? Because I like the genre and they both do things well (although F3 is a lot better imo). Why would I buy Gears 3 when Uncharted is one of my favourite cover-based TPS's ever? Because it's a good game and also does things well. Having fun isn't a waste of time, and neither is expanding your horizons to experience great games. Having some sort of personal vendetta against a platform (not aimed at you) is however.Ravensmash

You must have ALOT of time to play games. Shooters on PC I would rather be playing than any console shooter: Bad Company 2 (SO MUCH better on PC), TF2, CSS, Left 4 Dead 2 (so much better on PC), ARMA II (still gotta buy that), STALKER, Crysis. Heck thats this this gen alone that I play in PC shooters. I can also go back and enjoy last gen masterpieces like Battlefield II and Unreal Tournament 2004, both of which are far superior than any console shooter this gen (heck any PC shooter this gen as well outside of TF2). On top of this, 2 epic PC games are coming out within this year: Battlefield 3 and Red Orchestra Stalingrad. Even MORE time to sink in playing shooters.

Oh and just to let you know, shooters aren't my favourite genre. I love RTS games like Starcraft II.I practice that for hours daily trying to get better at it. Thats a huge time sink.and awesome RPG. Witcher 2 is probably the best RPG this gen, comparable only to a heavily modded Fallout 3 which can only be experienced on PC. I basically use my 360 only for PS3/360 games I rarely get interested in like LA Noire or awesome PS3 non-shooter exclusives that the 360 so severely lacks. So unless you literally don't ever sleep. the PS3/PC combination has so many titles that make playing 360 games utterly worthless.

To be honest I haven't really been playing games that often recently - I just don't restrict myself. And no, you just listed a lot of games on PC that are in the same genre and are also critically acclaimed. That takes NOTHING away from Halo and it's positive reception. I've played BC2 on console (liked it), don't mind if it runs/controls better on a PC I've enjoyed the core gameplay. I have TF2 - it's enjoyable. I have CS:S - fun but steep learning curve puts me off. L4D2 (and 1) i have on console - and absolutely love it, fantastic games. Shooters aren't my favourite genre either - I just know a good one when I play it, like the above games and Halo Reach. There is nothing that those games do that take away any of Halo's greatness! That's my point! As for awesome non shooter exclusives, why not try Forza 3? It's a better game than GT5 and it's sequel is on course to better that too.

I hate both Forza and GT games. Only racers I can tolerate are arcade racers like Burnout or offroad like DIRT. Sure those games don't make Halo worse, but there are so many shooters out there better than Halo I see no reason to play it. Thats my point.

[QUOTE="Heil68"][QUOTE="Ravensmash"] Why on earth are you using 2011 standings? 5 months =/= 6 years .Ravensmash
ok..lets do all time https://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=pc5oLqpenpT78W87pMfgvBA&gid=0 PS3>360 :)

Indeed the PS3 does have more at this moment. But the difference between the two is absolutely minuscule thus making it ludicrous to say the 360 offers nothing.

Having an AAAA exclusive is a huge difference actually. Especially since the 360 line up this year is just about dead.

Why is Halo a bad shooter?

Ravensmash

Low player count, **** controls (no mouse), small boring maps, horrible community, lack of mods and player based content essential to keep a community alive and fresh, its gameplay is a rehash of all other Halo's before it oh and remember 60 dollar expansion packs like ODST? LOL.

[QUOTE="Ravensmash"] How is TF2 a better version of Halo? Why so narrow minded? The system has loads of games, and if you've missed out on it's library then it's nice at this stage to buy it and catch up with the titles cheaper (like I've done with the PS3).Ravensmash

I'm not saying its a better version of Halo. If it was I would never play it. Its a shooter that is far superior and gives me not even a single reason to touch Halo, Gears, CoD or any of those crap console shooters popular on 360. I've played them all btw, I owned a 360 before. The titles available on the PC and PS3 libraries make any title available on the 360 a waste of time to play since you can get far superior games from the genre you like having those 2 systems.

Well Halo Reach gives me a reason to never play ps3 and pc games. Its so much better than all games.

LOL if you ever played quality PC shooters you wouldn't be saying such a ridiculous statement. Halo Reach is TRASH in comparison to even last gen PC shooters. But you keep on convincing yourself otherwise. Not to mention you gotta use a controller to player shooters. Poor you.

[QUOTE="KevinnButlerNPK"] So what if they trace it to a country that is non extradition to the US authorites? Nigeria is a prime example. The FBI can provide you with plenty of cases of hackers from that country but are powerless against them...

KevinnButlerNPK

You think these hackers are citizens of a 3rd world ghetto? Seriously? Lets be realistic here. They are almost certainly citizens of European or North American country.

You're telling me to be ralistic and then blindly speculating where the hackers are from. Priceless.

Not blind speculation. Reasonable deduction from their activities. These hackers are involved with things like Wikileaks and Xbox360, PS3 and Wii. What kind of 3rd world ghetto citizen hackers would give a **** about that?

[QUOTE="darth-pyschosis"]

It's simple. Because maybe one day you decided you wanted to play certain crap games on that crap system, even if you own other systems

Is that so hard to understand bro? Some people like X platform, you like Y platform, and we're all a big happy family.

What he means to say is that people should look at this deal if they don't have a 360, we get it you wouldn't even consider it. You've made your point. Congrats.

On topic: I wouldn't buy an old unit, and the rumors of a Slim price drop after e3 are building up. Any price drop can only help us all have more friends with systems to play with during these last few years of the gen

Ravensmash

What im saying is that any game released on the 360 I can play far better versions of on my PC or PS3. Even exclusives, why would I play **** shooters like Halo when I have SO MANY better shooters I can play on the PC like TF2? The 360 has literally nothing to offer to anyone who owns a PS3 and a high end PC. It will sit and rot. I don't suggest anyone buy it if they own a PC and a PS3.

[QUOTE="KevinnButlerNPK"] It depends what country they are from. Not every country in the world has strict hacking laws. Also Sony can't find them...

KevinnButlerNPK

Except the Feds are on the case right now, not Sony. This is big enough to reach the FBI and just about every civilized country in the world has strict laws against hacking. Its pretty clear these guys are either American or European anyway.

So what if they trace it to a country that is non extradition to the US authorites? Nigeria is a prime example. The FBI can provide you with plenty of cases of hackers from that country but are powerless against them...

You think these hackers are citizens of a 3rd world ghetto? Seriously? Lets be realistic here. They are almost certainly citizens of European or North American country. Even if they do reside in said 3rd world ghetto that has no extradition to the US, if they have citizenship elsewhere, the US can reuest it from that country to extract them. SO right when they go home they are screwed.
