@Starshine_M2A2: Uh, you don't see how clever Microsoft is in this? You need an Xbox Live user id to log to their network.. That means Sony players will need to get one... AKA Microsoft is getting new business opportunity here. This doesn't benefit Sony in any way.
Destiny 2 did not impress me. It doesn't look like a Destiny 2, but a DLC of Destiny 1. And considering how Bungie/Activision screwed early Destiny 1 players, there is NO WAY I'll get this on day 1. And 99% chances are that they'll block contents again with every DLC they releases for it. So no way, am I going to pay for a game that will be worthless in a few months if I don't pay up.
We already know that GameSpot will give this game a review of 7+ like they always do. Money buys reviews here.
I don't see anything wrong with things not carrying over to Destiny 2. That is if this is really a sequel. Unfortunately, I'm not getting Destiny 2. After the way they've treated their playerbase with Destiny. I ain't touching anything from Bungie. I'm sure they'll pull the same stunts for Destiny 2. E.g. Block already paid contents (Weekly, Nightfall, Etc) with new DLCs, Vanilla content with base game, etc.
Why is Gamespot closing some of these politically motivated articles from commenting? I wouldn't support this simply because the media/humblebundle are being disingenuous. The travel ban is not permanent.
Considering how awful they were/are with Destiny players that did not buy their new DLC... No thanks. Can't respect a company that mistreats their paying customers after they released new DLCs.
