i think the biggest problem with the industry is, as in the music industry, the publishers. the publishers want their money, and impose incredibly short deadlines to the developers with the most water-tight black-mail in existance "work or we wont publish it". think about it, when you hear of a video game, who presents it? the CoD series for example? what the first thing you think of? Activision? or Infinity Ward? BF series? EA? or Dice? the publishers essentially parade around other peoples work, and people naturally assume they made it.

the only problem is that my motherboard manufacturer has not yet released RAID/LAN drivers for my motherboard, but interstingly, have released sound drivers for Window 7 64bit. and drivers are annoying enough in 64 bit, much less the right off the block windows 7.

right with the industry: hey are trying to expand and try new horizons in gaming so it shows the consumer base that they are at least trying to do something with the stupid amounts of money that they have. plus the vast amount of devs and publishers out there means its incredibly hard to not find a good game thats either coming out or is out wrong with the industry: the yearly droughts of games. these occur between febuary and july. almost nothing comes out for 4-5 months (can even extend to september time) that has any decency to it. then the flood of games that come out after september just means you have to choose which games you want now and what games you want later. why cant the industry just release games during, i dunno, the summer holidays? or the endless amounts of bank holidays around that time? come on games industry, dont let us starve through the spring and summer months!

i love steam, its rekindled my passion for PC gaming. i see nothing wrong in paying for a game (cheaper than in a store), DLing it and tieing it to an account. it gets rid of the need for CDs and its all run off the hard drive, meaning faster load times. though DRM that is intrusive enough to install malware on your PC would drive anyone to piracy.

operation flashpoint dragon rising plz or i will cry ;( other than that, MW2 announcing some sort of co-op mode would be a nice touch and anything from mass effect 2 will be a good thing in my books.

i have to agree with the Gears 2 one, going all that way, fighting off the infinitely massive locust horde, just to find your wife and then when you find her.....you blow her brains out. now that was harsh by any standards.

considering its going to take me till 2010 to build my new super PC for gaming this will coinside nicely with the windows 7 release (its vista with less of the resource hogging and more features!). though depending on how much they sell it for (i aint paying £500 just for a windows product), it might just be vista on the shopping list.

hey microsoft, if you want lots more people to buy your system, lower the price of the goddamn XBL!!. your going the right way about it by making the new update free (which did surprise me) so keep going the extra few meters and make XBL cheaper. and please do something to encourage the importance of gamerscore. MS point rewards for getting max achievements on games would be fantastic. but of course they like money-grabbing too much so it wont happen. and if your making price cuts, do it in europe where they're still ridiculously over-priced.

i see no difference. and to be honest, if slight graphical changes between the two completely changes your view on a console, then i do feel very sorry for you. i noticed how in the last COD4 comparison that the SAS guy has a hood in the 360 version and does not in the PS3 version. shows they arnt just ports. i still like the PS3 more since its free online and so will be Home and the in game XMB. "free" is a word Microsoft just doesn't seem to know exists. did you know you HAVE to have a gold account to download most demos? i thought not. still got my 360 though so i can play too human and DBZ burst limit when they come out but its quite hard justifying to myself that its worth keeping.

i find it incredibly humorous that microsoft advertises Vista as the better OS for gamers yet it scores consistantly lower scores than XP. sorry, not wasting £125+ on something that makes gaming WORSE.
