I'm not sure what the problem is, and if it's a konami or sony problem over here in the NA. I know it's available for the EU side, as was Peace walker(which we've just now gotten a year later) and portable ops(unavailable NA). Feel second-rate yet? lol

I liked that game when I had it on the PS2, but I can't really remember what the battle system was like anymore.

It was painfully slow, with really awkward combat animations. The quirky dialogue was what made the game though.

I'll also throw in:

Bastion

The PSP games that SHOULD be on the PSN store.Really, not having the entire PSP library on there seems pretty unforgivable.(Valkyrie Profile:Lenneth, Breath of Fire III)

I myself prefer linear rpgs with emphasis on story and characterization. I always thought Final Fantasy was more linear than open ended. The way the story progresses in linear and the open ended aspect of the game is really just fluff. There's never that many places to choose from in the first place. When I think open ended, I think elder scrolls, where you're encouraged to wander around the unknown. Story was never a big aspect in them.

Have you played Mother 3? Even if the forbiddenE may be required to play due to never being released here, this is one game that should not be missed. It's chapter based, has a great quirky and heart wrenching story(Actually started tearing up at a few points), likable characters, amazing music that digs itself into your brain, I can go on. It is however 2D of course, but it won't gouge your eyes out. I've played many games over the years, and can say it's just criminal to miss this experience.

I don't think the Vita really needs a price drop, but the memory cards are pretty disgustingly overpriced.

I second this, and will throw Resident Evil 2 in as well. Walking into the police station still gives me shivers. dem bells.

Oh Super Metroid and Metroid Primeundoubtedly.

My vote goes to Final Fantasy. I prefer having story and a cast of interesting characters, as well as not being afraid of a little change. (FFIV,VI-X,XIII) Pokemon has more or less been the same game since it released, with added pokemon and fighting gym leaders.

Does it have to be realistic? Currently playing Dragon Quest VIII for the first time, and my god the style is pretty amazing by even today's standards.

As far as realistic goes, i'd have to go with Shadow of the Collosus for sure.
