I play WoW and I hate it. The only reason I still play it is because so many of my friends do, and I'm sure they aren't very happy with the game either, but they're all high end players with a lot of time put into the game. 1-60 was great, that's usually the way it is with MMORPGS, then comes the end game which basically means grind till you're bored of it. Personally I don't mind grinding, I love RPGs with a lot of grind but WoW does it in a really poor way.

Anyway, I think the reason why so many people are playing it is because they don't have anything better to do. Most people are happy with just having something to do, and I think it feels like a waste to just quit your character to go for a new game, since you lose the money spent and the time put into the character.

I think most people tell themselves that it's a good game, because what idiot would play a game they don't like? I would, but atleast I know it :P
