well, i found out what was happening. We are starting to have some brown outs because, don't know if anyone watches the news or weather channel, but down here in the south its hot as **** with some humidity making it even worse. So i guess ill just have to be careful with my computer and try not to leave it on alot of the time.

I think sometimes it happens as more people use electiricity at a specific time being. There may not be anything wrong with your electricity lines, but there is a limit on to how much power a "Power plant" can output.

I have been getting power surges very often and i had the power company come by and check the powerlines and nothing appeared to be out of the ordinary. So what else could it be? I have no idea and all the power surges have cause my computer to break. So i really need some help on finding whats wrong.

I was wanting to know if Batman Arkham city supports controllers and which controllers would be best for the game.

What are some differences between the two? I know they have different manufacturing tech. but what else? Would there be a significant difference?

If you are going to spend that money, then wy don't you just get a GTX 580 or crossfire two 6970's? I'm sure the 7xxx will cost a pretty penny.LordsLoss

You don't "need" a SSD until your rig is pretty set. Wait on that for now and save some money until they go down in price. They should around Christmas. What about a new GPU, need one or no? Also, do you need an i7, or can you lower it to an i5? An i7 is only needed for demanding video editing and some other additions.LordsLoss

These are the parts I have picked out but i need some help. I want to have a 32nm CPU, a new mobo, a new case, SSD SataIII( 128gb or more), and i dont do overclocking so i dont know if an aftermarket CPU is really needed.

It just depends on you mostly, I think Asus (to my knowledge) is more reliable but some people would disagree. There are little functions on more expensive boards that you may never use like start buttons on the board and what not. The price of the Asus board is also a little more expensive because of the name. But then again thats what i think.

Good as in performance, or good as in value? If it's the former, get the D14 or the Kuhler 920. If it's value, get the Hyper 212+ or the Thermaltake Frio OCK, or the vanilla version if that's your budget.

For a 256GB SSD, expect to pay big bucks for that. But if you're serious about one, get the two Corsair Force GT 120GB's or the Crucial M4 256GB. They're the best ones out right now. OCZ Vertex 3's, which are also a good performer, are suffering from stability issues, so stay away from that until word is out that it's completely fixed.

I'm looking more in performance not so much on the value side of things. Also will a AM3 CPU cooler work on the AM3+ boards?

The Crucial M4 was my first choice =)
