Everyone does realize that the gameplay in the bioshock games have never been good... right? The AI in Bioshock was so bad that games from the 90s surpassed it by a mile. The only thing that made Bioshock good was the creative setting and how they nailed the atmosphere. The only thing that made Bioshock Infinite good was the... uhh...certainly not gameplay, world, or art design... Most people claim it's the story, but anyone with half a brain that tries to analyze it past it's face value would know how terribly written it really is. From what I've gathered, Bioshock 1 was liked because it was creative for the time... and Bioshock Infinite is liked because it makes stupid people feel smart. I got minor enjoyment out of both, so I don't know what that says about me considering the statements I just made but... eh.
@Dannystaples14 @Ladiesman17 I disagree completely.. Half-Life 1 is better in almost every regard. One weapon does not a good game make. Half-Life 2 was far too preoccupied with showing off it's physics engine and having terriblly controlled Vehicle Sections. The first game is better in every concievable way except for graphics, hell even the enemy AI seems smarter in the first game.
@WolfGrey You and I would be okay with this.. but I'm not sure a lot of gamers would be.. and I think that's where the problem may lie here. i don't know, this is an interesting thing to ponder.
The difference was that they'd always kind of intended to do the remake of CoM... while with 358/2 they hadn't planned on that. Not to mention 358/2 actually has quite a bit more to remold since it contains quite a few settings the others didn't, while CoM literally just directly ripped the stuff from the ORIGINAL KH... the only thing they had to remodel was organization XIII and Castle Oblivion (which was all white and every floor looked the same) so it was actually a fairly simple job... then again you could argue that they could do the same thing for 358/2... so.. huh.. that is interesting.
I would think a full remake would still be in order from 358/2 to a PS3 version,
Well in that sense i'd have to disagree. It would be VERY difficult to try and resell 358/2 WITHOUT remaking it... the original NDS basically had the graphical capablities of the N64.... so simply putting 'new paint' on it really wouldn't be enough... In that sense they really would need to actually remake the game or people would just complain about that too, which is why they decided to give up before they even started. That would take actual work... KH1 and CoM didn't.. Seriously even the 'fixed camera' was already implemented in the original Final Mix... they did NOTHING to this game but bumped up the graphics and perhaps re-recorded the soundtrack. (It did seem to me that the destiny island theme was of higher quality)
(this was meant in response to the 358/2 comments still)
