@northArrow @XxTheEvilxX Time Warner will be the major provider for Xbox One. Viacom may not be a specific cable provider but you only get brands viacom owns. That means if CBS, ABC, or NBC have something you like.. you don't get it. That includes other channels too. They will all run their own pay service. In the end, you will pay thrice what you currently do to just keep channels you already have.
@arqe @XxTheEvilxX LOL - Really? Well my TV has like 4 HDMI inputs. So basically all I have to do is hit a little button on my TV remote called "input" to change over to the HDMI running from my Tivo DVR.
Boy that was so complicated. Thank God for videogame consoles because pushing that button was becoming too much of a strain. Still not seeing the benefit. I don't buy a game system to watch tv. I don't give a shit which console it is... the feature is useless to most people.
Here is what I don't get. Most people on here probably have cable or satellite. Not all mind you, but most. When did TV service become such a big deal for any of these consoles. I just don't get it. Games. That's what I want. Both systems seem like a dream come true to developers. Let's talk about games. WTF?
@northArrow @inscript He doesn't work for Sony. He lives with his mommy. She will be getting his Xbox One for Christmas. Anybody who works for Sony has the ability to spell and complete sentences beyond a third grade level. He doesn't even know the word anything is one word not two given the context of its use in the sentence above.
@inscript So sorry you are too poor to afford both. Maybe get a job instead of pretending to be a Sonybot every other day. Better yet, stop mooching off your poor mom and get a life outside of the basement.
@buy2playz @inscript He is. I've seen this dipshit make that comment every time Sony announces something that favors Xbots. Xbox lost me as fan because of the policies they tried to implement with DRM, Always Online, and forcing you to pay $100 for Kinect. My only gripe about the TV was they focused more on that and less on games during the press conference. They did change direction at E3. Anybody with a brain knew both of these systems were pretty similar to each other... including plans for TV. What makes the difference for me is the policy makers behind the scenes. Given some of the unique exclusives, I'm sure I will end with both anyway. So who cares.
