[QUOTE="XT-inc"]I don't like the concept of games on demand there are too many flaws with the system. First of all it costs the same, in some cases more, as the games you would buy in a store. This is nonsense to me because there are so many factors that should drive the prices down. You do not get a physical copy of the game so why is it the same price of a product that they had to burn a dvd of, make a case and booklet, ship and all other fees associated with real products? The issue also becomes there's no competition to regulate the price, it is not like there are things taking up shelf space that will ever need to be cleared, you are just taking a digital copy which then you get to enjoy having a chunk of your hard drive to have. Now you've paid the full cost to lose HDD space, and probably have to take your hard drive with you whenever you want to play at someones house with the kicker of no resale or trade value. How ever if they set this up as a rental service then I could see a future here.dmgonzales0378

To tell you the truth they don't cost the same cause if you think that some Best Buys are comparing prices with used games from Gamecrazy and Gamestop that means that it would be cheaper to purchse them at your local store.

Well that is what I meant, that they are either the same price or cost more money than in stores, so store prices will be cheaper and they include all the other costs to have a physical product which takes up limited shelf space and they have to sell them.

I was merely expressing that logically to me these types of items cannot justify their prices. An arcade game has many people who need to be paid, musicians, artists, coders, advertisers and so on, they have to charge enough to break even and turn a profit. A Lightsaber could not garner the costs to justify a 400 point sale price because it couldn't possibly be as hard to produce as a whole game. I was looking at these items from an objective point of view not based off of my personal interest's so to me when I think of the profit margins of being so huge , I determine an object is overpriced.

I think its it's silly for people to throw in the tired phrase of " no one's forcing you to buy it so don't ". The issue at hand isn't that people are complaining, it's more about how we as consumers have grown to learn or at least assume somethings worth. You take the 400 point price for an avatar item and then contrast it to the price of an arcade game. Now how could some little blue glowing stick, which you don't control ever be worth the same as a arcade game a team of people worked hundreds of hours on?

In all honesty I think this game is a rental. Although it maybe a double rent, but I just can't picture paying full price for a single player only game in this day in age. I need something that lets me socialize more, no online or coop leaves me little time to actually play this with people over.
