Nintendo Has been doing that since the Gameboy Color. Mid Gen Console Iterations are a new territory for this kind of thing and people are naturally going to be skeptical towards it.
Id like to think they'd have something more consumer friendly. maybe different tiers of payments?
If they do decide to, They have alot to prove. They also have to show support to it. I still remember a few features that never did make it to Miiverse, despite them saying it was coming.
Probably not. Unless they can make the NX an appealing piece of hardware it wont matter.
People seem to forget that Pokemon go is free...and on a device that almost everyone has and takes with them everywhere.
Peoples perspectives and feelings on things always change when money is involved.
They're people playing this game i know who wont even give a thought to buying a Nintendo piece of hardware and have had no interest in pokemon or video games at all. When you put a price something, things always change.
Because there's still people in this world that think every game should have single player. That there can't be such a thing as a multiplayer-only game.
Those people tend to be full of shit.
these people are right. MP only game cannot worth full price
case in point overwatch
Not necessarily true. Just means that no one has released one that is worth $60 yet. Price is subjective, I'm sure there are plenty who feel like Overwatch or even something like Splatoon was worth the full $60.
But it doesn't have depth. That's the reality of loot games like Borderlands or Diablo, you're not getting actual gameplay depth. It's just one prolonged skinner box with a reasonably interesting amount of character builds in the isometric ones like Diablo and Path of Exile. But the actual playing the game part rarely challenges the player on anything. Not their reflexes, not their tactical or strategic skills, not their problem solving skills, just their ability to stay compulsive. Whatever challenge these games provide, you are at the mercy of the gear, and not your own abilities.

I admittedly still like these games. But I've preferred Monster Hunter as my go to compulsive loot collecting game.
