@noladem504 @WilHiteWarrior @TheWordsWeUse Nope. I simply have a brain. Think back to any gimmick which has ever paid off in the end. You will always think of some people who were offering up logical reasons WHY it would work... Because if they can think of it, the people can think of it too. But they can't. Absolutely no one can give you an example of what this thing can do greater than it already has. Voice commands and video chat are not worth it. People who cared about that would buy it on their own, but MS knows thats not a large enough audience so they're forcing it on people. This 'argument' of Ponello's isn't an argument at all. It's nothing more than 'It's good we promise! Yeah the other one sucked but this one will be different!' They always say that. Most gamers are smarter than they think we are. Most are capable of thinking for ourselves instead of just listening to what they say.

And btw. Subscribers arent everything. PS3 sales are ahead of the 360's now. And why are the XBLs subscribers ahead? Because they have almost no enforcement of their rules. People are almost never banned on there no matter how much they deserve it.

@noladem504 @WilHiteWarrior @TheWordsWeUse Paid off for them in the end though didnt it? And let's not forget the red ring of death which the 360 suffered from that it took them four or five years to fix. For the longest time they wouldnt repair them either. They only finally did because they were about to get hit with a massive class-action lawsuit. And the investment in the PS3 proved well worth the price point. I've never had to replace a PS3 game... I can't say the same for my 360 games. Was the PS3 too expensive? Yes. But the blu-ray made it worth the price difference. The kinect will not.

@smbius People understand way better than you think. We are the people who create the business in the first place. If you're so sure about the Kinect's 'possibilities' give me an example of what it can do which is greater than what it has already done... and worth the price point. Voice commands are not worth 100 bucks, nor is video chat. People who cared about that would buy the kinect on their own but they know it's not a big enough audience, so they're forcing it on people.

The fact of the matter is, if they can think of it, the people can think of it too. Everyone keeps saying 'great games will be made for this thing' but anything else theyve said that about, people can point out possibilities by which this thing could be utilized to make a game great. In the kinect, it's not so... you'll never see anyone give an example because the examples don't exist

@noladem504 @WilHiteWarrior @TheWordsWeUse The benefits of Bluray were obvious to anyone who thought about it. You had a much larger storage capacity on a blu-ray disc and they don't damage as easily. And besides that the blu-ray was an integral part of the console. Not a peripheral. Hard as I try I can think of nothing about Kinect that is worth 100 bucks. The ability to say "X-box on"? Fascinating. If they really believed what they said about the kinect being so great, they'd have shown us something to prove it. The kinect is a failed experiment. It's their power glove. They just won't let it go

@TheWordsWeUse And the PS3 caught their guff for it too. Now it's MS's turn. But the difference here is at least the PS3 didnt have some peripheral with it that no one wanted that obviously drove up the price 100 bucks

@TomMcShea Well then... Tom... you just destroyed any credibility you ever had. The game never set out to be anything more than a remastered version of the NES game. That's what it was supposed to be and by your own admission it did that fine. You review a game for what it IS. NOT what you want it to be. If you can't do that then you have no business in this line of work

Well I just played and beat Duck Tales Remastered... and I can say now with absolute confidence I am in complete disagreement with this review. I had loads of fun... the only complaint I have is that the pogo jump was occasionally a bit unresponsive but the game is fantastic, loads of fun and extremely faithful to the original

@Rotondi Fair enough. Honestly yeah I made my decision as soon as they announced it. lol I loved the original Duck Tales game and I'm really hoping he's wrong... but for me there is one bottom line when it comes to playing a game.... 'Was it fun? Did it entertain me?' If the answer is yes its a good game to me.

@Rotondi You also might be doing yourself a disservice by listening to him though. I'd rather him be proven right and play a bad game than to deprive myself of a great experience by listening to him. I'm not hurt by the score. Like I said, it's his opinion, his opinion isnt hurting me.

@Rotondi Facepalm... When a critic trashes game after game that you really liked... then you start to see an emerging pattern. He's entitled to his opinion... but its not likely to be mine. So when I see him trash another game... I say 'well... this is the same guy who trashed (such and such game) so I'm not likely to let his opinion steer me awa from the game. It's called logic.
