@MafiaInGrid Well... I hate to say it but... yes. Let's not forget when he replaced arguably the most badass video game hero of all time with a whiny little brat bitching with his girlfriend because of the opinion of a 14-year-old girl. lol

@noladem504 @WilHiteWarrior I understand that. And I'm sorry our debate got a little heated there for a bit. It's easy to let that happen though. I respect your opinion and hopefully you can respect mine. I just don't think the kinect is capable of much more than that. I don't think it's a device meant for gaming. But the honest truth? I hope I'm wrong. I like to see new and fascinating innovation. I don't like being right about stuff like this... but this is something I feel pretty strongly that I probably am.

@engenderreality @WilHiteWarrior @TheWordsWeUse Well... yes. To most people 100 bucks is alot of money, especially when its something they dont want in the first place. lol

@noladem504 @WilHiteWarrior But that's IF it can do something more than it has. I have yet to see anything to show me that it can... and I'm not sure I can agree with that statement. The wii tried that... the wiimote was the primary method of control with their console... but third-party devs will almost always go to the lowest common denominator. They wont put alot of effort into something that will only be available on one of the consoles, even if it is really innovative. Because of that fact, it cost the Wii alot of third party support. Now obviously the X-Box One wont have that problem becuase it does HAVE a controller... but imo they still are not likely to put alot of effort into the kinect. But nintendo also showed that if you want people to innovate with your software, youve got to show them what it can do first. Almost all the great Wii games were 1st party titles

@noladem504 @WilHiteWarrior Oh no not a fanboy at all. Believe me I have my share of gripes with Sony too. Namely making you pay for online and the PS4 not being backwards compatible. Btw that stuff you talk about, accessing it from tablets and such, the PS4 can do that too. It's not about whether the X-box one has some innovation or not. I won't argue that it does. My argument is that there is no justification for forcing you to pay 100 bucks for something you dont want. Theyre so desperate to shove this thing down peoples throats whether they want it or not and that is going to hurt them. They will lose alot of customers solely because of that. I don't love sony, theyve pissed me off more than once. But not nearly so much as Microsoft.

@noladem504 @WilHiteWarrior The point of this argument is not whether the PS3 is better than the 360 but whether the kinect is worth the price tag. I'm under no obligation to provide argument that the PS3 is better.

@noladem504 @WilHiteWarrior @TheWordsWeUse Ahhhh but have you ever considered why? Yes, the enforcement is part of it because asshoels know they can go on there, do anything they want and not suffer any consequences for it. And two... because PSN doesnt charge for online play at this point in time. Therefore there are a lot of people who play online without needing a subscription. Oh and also without being flooded with ads.... and having lots of features locked behind a paywall.

oh and btw... yes. Numbers can lie. back to the red ring of death issue... what was the failure rate on launch model 360s again? Ah yes... 60%. And lets not forget at the time, Microsoft was not repairing or replacing 360s faced with this problem... and even when they began to, they would make people wait like 6-8 weeks to get theirs back. Now what would those people do? Would they switch to PS3? Sometimes... other times they would go and get another 360. So many of the 'numbers' on the sold 360s are in fact replacements.

And as for me deciding what everyone wants... tell you what. Do a poll. Anywhere. Start a poll asking people how many of them are interested in the kinect. I'm so confident I'm right on this one that I'll bet you the $500 price tag that those who arent will win by a large margin.
