Decent enough game for maybe 1 play though but it doesn't have any staying power. I'm already getting bored with it at level 20. The main missions are fun but the side missions become boring and repetitive quickly. What the Division needs is true multiplayer, of which the dark zone isn't. I rarely even see any other players in DZ. The Dark Zone is a total swing and a miss of an idea.
@Bread_or_Decide The actual mechanics of running around and shooting stuff can be fun for a while. Absolutely every other aspect of the game is half assed at best.
@DonRoosevelt Destiny is uninspired story x10 with little to do except the same tiny number of things over and over. But it looks pretty. I'll give you that.
The entire point of Destiny should never be the raid. Not everyone wants to play the game at it's hardest difficulty. I don't mind that aspect of it but I have no desire to play anything that doesn't have matchmaking nor anything where I'm going to have to mash buttons on my controller for 3 to 5 straight hours.
It's time for Bungie to pull their heads out of their asses and start putting some work into all aspects of this game, not just some cut and paste bounties that have you grind for a week for a useless set of gauntlets...I'm looking at you Eris.
Another case in point...look at this months Iron Banner. It serves no purpose at all. Why grind for a couple of pieces of gear that are exactly the same as what the vendors sell except for maybe 67 discipline instead of 66? And the 2 weapons being offered are worse than vendor weapons. Most people are going to be saving glimmer to upgrade all those exotics instead of forking out 11k for junk.
I don't see how this new lazy, slacker Bungie is going to be able to pull this sorry ass game out of it's tailspin. They don't have the talent nor the work ethic. They do just enough to get by and nothing more.
@getstormy @crunchb3rry And with each update, they make it harder to grind. Now with "commendations", they've added another level of currency you have to grind for to buy weapons and armor. Also they upped the difficulty for daily's and strikes. No more engrams awarded for Tiger strikes. Have to do the level 30 daily for 2 shards. I can't imagine Destiny attracting new players.
It's almost as if Bungie has conceded that no new players are going to be spending any money on Destiny so they're just adding more grind to keep the hardcore players buying DLC.
Either that or they're just plain stupid. I'm not sure which.
