Elway carried a mediocre team on his shoulders to 3 super bowls, granted they lost all 3, but they were sub par teams. If he had played for just about anyone else during the time, say the Raiders since they were a thread away from having him, he would probably own just about every single passing record you could think of.

Dan Reeves' Broncos of the 80's were a bunch of no names who relied on the talents of Elway to carry them as far as they went. Not to mention there has never been a better QB in the history of the game when it comes to late game drives, and that is something very few people will even ATTEMPT to argue against.

Oh and to say Terrell Davis won those two super bowls for John Elway is a very stupid arguement, especially if you look back at every super bowl winning QB who's ever played the game and in one way or another they've all had someone or a group of players you could say either helped them or helped contribute to them winning.

Anyway, I'd take Elway and probably 3 or 4 others before I took Favre.

It was a pretty horrible decision.

At this point in his career Shaq isn't even very good in the post up like he used to be. No one on Phoenix seems to be playing with the heart and hustle they played with the past few seasons, and that's a shame because they were a breath of fresh air in the defensive minded NBA of today.

Maybe by some miracle it'll click by April and this team will start to roll when everything slows down in the playoffs. Then again, when you get to the point of losing to a highly overrated Denver team and barely beating a team like Portland, then there's a good chance the playoffs aren't even coming to Phoenix this year.

You think since acquiring Shawn Marion that they'd be winning a little more.

Tough. :/

Broncos fan here too and if there's anyone in the history of the game who might've made a bigger impact on a team other than John Elway, it might just be Brett Favre.

See ya in 5 years Brett.

I don't think it was THAT bad.

The game can get physical under the basket and people don't realise how fast things can happen when you're going 100% out there. That's not to mention Andre Kirilenko has had a history of back problems before, so it might've been a little worse for him than it maybe would have been for someone else.
