@kwintox @USAPATRIOT21 I honestly have never heard of Natural Selection. You can imagine my shock when I found out today there was a sequel nominated for shooter of the year. It might be a great game but I honestly doubt it if it has made such a small ripple in the gaming community.
Sometimes I feel like Gamespot just creates a made up game to throw in the nominees to see if anybody is paying attention. Natural Selection 2 and Sega Football Manager are this year's fakes.
This is the most confusing winner. Even if a football game was awarded the winner, wouldn't it be Madden? The ten people who bought football manager must have really stuffed the ballot box.
I will be playing Skyward Sword later today. You can watch me look for the third flame live around 9:30. There will be about 3 spots left on the sofa so sign up early.
@couly I wrote the same thing before scrolling down and seeing your comment. Not that great graphics are not a definite plus, but that they aren't at the top of the totem pole for having fun with a game.
I was a little disappointed in Crysis 2. The graphics were fantastic but the game wasn't as much fun as some of the other shooters out there. I hope they can find a good mix with their great graphics and exceptional game and story.
Lol, like having full creative control is really important in accurately portraying the birds on screen. Rovio doesn't want to have the red bird picking up hookers or shooting up with heroine.
Mass Effect 3 was fantastic. It was almost as good a shooter as a lot of the other game on the list as well. You don't see a lot of RPG's that execute gameplay so brilliantly.
