No surprise here, just EA going with the least popular, most draconian option and running with it. Business as usual.

@mkeezay22 @Tseng @NoAngle @Dictatroll I'd say so, but advise that you GTFO of this vortex of negativity while you still can.

@Dictatroll @Tseng This wasn't for anyone in particular. Just something for everyone to think about before obsessing over joeblow69 and his negative comment directed at their favorite game, console, actor, what have you.

FYI, constantly getting angry because someone doesn't like something that you like is the quickest way to an embittered life.

@Centuryon @stev69 Just because a stories sources are anonymous doesn't mean it's not true. And yea, slander is really easy to prove in the US. If they go to court and all his anonymous sources have names and faces that can be compelled to testify, then it isn't slander. Besides, if he can't sell the article why would he write it in the first place? Why open himself up to litigation and possibly ruining his career? And this article is hardly the only one pointing to disturbing things toward the end of SK's life.

@speedycerv1 @Tseng @ElDuderino1 @sundown19 Product awareness mostly. It's a cult classic, well known for being scary, but it didn't sell. It moved less than 500,000 copies globally. A creative 'spiritual successor kickstarter campaign' relies heavily on nostalgia, the franchise still being relevant, and at least some form of community clamoring for more games like it. There are plenty of survival horror games (though few quite as memorable as Eternal Darkness), the original game is 11 years old, and it didn't sell well when new. None of this bodes well for this project, even if it had another 30 days to go. At the very least there would need to be a hook, something innovative, to get the community excited about the project. I love David Hayter, but that alone won't make me back it.

@ElDuderino1 @sundown19 Yea, but it is 11 years old and hasn't been touched since it's release. No sequels, no ports, nothing. Nostalgia will only get you so far.

More bullshit from an executive. Can any one of these people ever tell the truth when they open their mouths to the press? Lately it seems like it is all posturing and nonsense.
