I've seen a website selling the Black Wii U for £279.99.It only got put on there like 2 days ago.I don't know what that would currently convert to in dollars, but if the 3DS is any indication, Nintendo don't care about exchange rates as the 3DS was $250 in the US and around £220-£240 in the UK at launch.
The upcoming generation is gonna be unique due to the fact it seems Nintendo are getting a strong headstart with their 3DS and Wii U. Anyway, for E3 2012, I see Microsoft announcing their next console as they've been teasing the idea of their next console as of late. Likely chance of compatibility with 360 Games and Kinect I'd say due to their constant pushes with kinect. Don't think it will get a release date at E3 itself (date possibly announced a few months later) but will be released late 2013. As for Sony, yeah. More sequels, possibly new IP's and more services sounds about right for E3 2012. We all know they are trying to keep the PS3's life up for as long as possible, but they can't sway too far behind it's biggest competition. I expect E3 2013 to be the announcement of their next home console. Late 2014 release date. My (quite obvious) expectations for Nintendo in 2012, are: more announcements for first-party games for the 3DS and Wii U along with announcements for third-party games for the latter. What I think Nintendo needs to do to next year if they really are going towards the goal of ''appealing to all gamers'' is announce some new exclusive IP's and not just more Mario games to go along with their third-party games which, you can find on other platforms. They need new, exclusive titles which will bring in hardcore gamers, or else the 'Wii U' might as well be the 'More Wii'.
