Portal 2 is a pretty big deal. In fact, it's such a big deal that we thought it would be a great idea to ask the folks at Raptr to share their stats of just how much Portal 2 people have been playing in the first three weeks of its release and how its release affected other Portal-related games. Check out the graphic below to see the data generated from the PC and Xbox 360 versions of Portal 2 (PlayStation 3 data was unavailable due to the PSN's downtime).
The Portal 2 Effect
Just how much Portal 2 have you been playing?
probably the best game of 2010-20101 for me.. really felt like an improvement from portal 1.. valve really makes you feel like its a living place just like half life 2
funny how anyone who says they haven't played yet receive thumbs down, even if they say they're about to go pick it up. calm down guys, it's just a game, let people play when they want to play *braces for incoming "thumbs down"*
It is a great game and certainly my favourite of this year so far... (I have only just started L.A. Noire... :P )
Valve did amazing job on Portal 2,so far my favorite game of all time, even i will do second play trough, cause its kinda epic.. :)
I rented this on PS3 for a few quid on a special offer from Blockbuster... and the voucher for the free PC download was intact in the case and the code worked for me. Result! But to be honest it's a brilliant game and worth the full price of entry for GlaDOS's hilarious insults alone. I'm not sure about the use of Stephen Merchant as the voice of Wheatly though; they could've at least made his voice sound a bit synthetic like it's coming from a small spherical robot.
i havent got this game **YET**, but i will hopefully b adding 2 these awesome statistics very soon!! :)
s2-sohaib Posted May 22, 2011 12:35 am PT Why game spot always gives bad scores for Valve games ? , Half-Life 2 deserves more than 9.2 & Portal 2 at least should have 9.4. ... I don't know... because they don't rate on that scale? Only .5 of a point.
well i only play the single player coop, and i do dare to say Portal 2 score is 100 out of 100~~~!!! The geme is Addicting, poisoning, and teleporting lol!!! kudos for VALVE!!! Waiting for another release, and words from Cave Johnson....

Good stats. Gamespot should take a poll if the consumer felt cheated or not paying $60.00 bucks for a few very short hours of game play. A. Felt cheated B. Waist of money C. Bent over backwards by the industry D. All of the Above
Im loling at the few sad souls who felt the need to leave negative comments. Portal 2 is an amazing game experience but its deff. not for everyone. If your too dense to figure it out (or too lazy to look up a solution on the web) or your too ADD to sit for 5 seconds and think, you wont like this game. This is not a Michael Bay movie. You dont have explosions and killing every 5 seconds. What you DO have is witty dialoug and superb gameplay. If thats not enough for you, you obviously werent raised on SNES or old school gaming platforms.
@ SDSkarface How about you play the game, it's very good. Who cares if the game was built on an older engine. The graphics are still quite good, even for todays standards. Keep in mind that Valve updates the source engine all the time and Portal 2 looks a good deal better then Half Life 2. Besides, dont we play games to have fun? Not to stare at and count pixels?
I finished the sp, but still looking for the right someone to split screen co-op. maybe my mom or one of the rehab patients i work with but so far none of them play video games or theyre busy.
How much have i been playing? 1 hour, and never touched it again... Here comes the thumbs down from the pseudo intlectual people...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0uzhNwTgrQI that is all. Valve recycled their source engine and made a quick buck off you guys. while Epic and Crytek have made a new engine for every major release.
I have to say Portal 2 was a breath of fresh air; the writing is spectacular and it's the funniest game I've ever played, loved it. Now I'm hoping Half-life is somewhere in the near future..
I played and absolutely LOVED Portal 2! Twice! Once just regular and the second time with commentary. Shame on all of you who found boredom in it! I did put it down one or two times out of frustration with some difficulty of the challenges, BUT when the solution came to me, it was like "DUH!" THAT being said, I do not play it anymore for 2 reasons. 1) I just don't have the time right now, and 2) The entertainment of puzzle games like Portal 2 is limited. If you know the solution to a puzzle, you have no more fun solving it. This is the reason I do not solve the same Sudoku puzzle over and over again and have put down the Rubik's cube after solving it for the five-thousandth time. I am glad to hear that expansions are coming. More puzzles=MORE FUN! Again, I absolutely love the game and would say it's game mechanic concept is unmatched by anything and it is a story-telling masterpiece.
@The_evil_Nemesi about why buy 2 GTX 580. Ummm... Well, you are certainly right about most games nowadays being console ports (or at least multiplatform). But still not all of them are. Have you seen tech requirements for the Witcher2? Where the GTX260 is the minimum?
@SDSkarface I don't get your point at all. Because the game doesn't make your computer lag you don't like it? Strange, people normally want a fluid frame rate so it's enjoyable to actually play. if you want to stress your rig just install a stress test software like Sandra or Burn-In. And by the way, no game will ever warrant the purchase of 2 GTX 580 (On standard resolution anyway) since almost every game coming out for the PC are console ports. May I remind you that said console's hardware have been out for almost 5 years now. So like you said, why did you go out and buy 2 GTX 580s ?
I play I play I play!! I'm so obsessed with Portal :P I's sad I believed Portal 2 will be a little more challenging than the first Portal... :/
of course it doesent carry alot of reply value its portal :P but no1 cares because i mean ... comeon.... its portal
this is sick to see these stats reflect the great game portal 2 is....i got 100% as its was easy, and fun to get
This game truely is awesome...but, am I the only one who thinks it doesn't carry a lot a replay value? Once you have solved the puzzels they are solved...It is kind of like being wowed by a magic trick and then finding out how it was done. The next time around it isn't AMAZING its just something you know how to do. Like I said though the first time around this game is crazy fun.
