I'm praying that the Jets can get Tavon Austin. I remember wanting them soooo badly to trade back into the first round of the 09 draft to get Harvin, and apparently they actually tried to. Mingo would be good, but I wouldn't mind Eifert either. The team has literally no skill position players of any worth except for Holmes who seems to have given up after his ridiculous contract (thanks Tannenbaum!). As a Jets fan, as much as I liked Revis, there was no conceivable way they could keep him because of how inept Tannenbaum was. So while I hate seeing him go, especially for only a 1st and a 3rd, I know that this was pretty much the only option. I'm just happy that it is an early first round pick and not a late one like the San Francisco one that was rumored a few months ago. I've been watching television and people have the nerve to blame this garbage on Rex. The early days of Dustin Kellers and Vernon Gholston's etc, I used to blame on Mangini, but it is now so clearly that everything that has gone wrong was because of one man: Tannenbaum. He focused on locking up an unproven QB and a WR with known issues and put the best player on the team alongside Mangold, on the backseat. People always remember Matt Millen, but in my mind Tannenbaum is in that same class of ineptitude. With this draft, my dream would be get Austin, and get either a pass rusher, Eifert, or somebody who can block. And my ultimate fantasy would be Matt Barkley, but I know that has no chance at happening. I know I'm on a GameSpot forum so my opinion isn't valued much, but I believe in my heart that Barkley will be special, and he is the only QB in this class I can say that about. Geno Smith appears to lack that fire inside. And Ryan Nassib SUCKS bad, so I'm hoping the Bills take him. I wouldn't mind EJ, but Barkley is my dream. However, I know that there is .0000000000000001% that this will ever happen, which makes me sad inside. :( Chad Pennington is my favorite Jet of all time, and Barkley sort of reminds me of a better version of Pennington mixed with a little Matt Hasselbeck. But people are going to say "USC QUARTERBACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THEY ALL SUCK!" Barkley is unlike any of those guys and Carson Palmer was a pro bowler before his injury. Leinart and Sanchez had suspicious character coming out of college, and the one thing everybody praises Barkley on is his intelligence and demeanor, so nothing bothers me more than the USC QB stigma. Also, does anybody else hate Todd McShay? He is just atrocious. Kiper, I get, because he makes for a great television personality. Mayock on NFL network is good because he seems to know his S***. McShay just sounds like a moron all the time and he is never accurate. He always uses the phrase "elite talent." For instance, "Matt Barkley doesn't have elite arm strength." "Mike Glennon has elite skill." "Dee Milliner doesn't have elite skill." Stuff like that. Football is more than "elite skill" or whatever he says. And then he goes out and makes these 'bold' predictions and he is ALWAYS wrong. I remember a few years ago he kept saying "Brian Hoyer is going to be a franchise QB just watch!" And Mel mocked him completely and because of this they actually set up a camera in Hoyer's house because McShay had ESPN fooled thinking that this no name QB who did nothing at Michigan State was going to be the steal of the draft in "as early as the second round." So he gets this kids hopes up, and he goes completely undrafted and totally blows. I just hate this idiot because he is always talking out of his ass.
