@kalipekona @JetSetWally Absolutely correct - the rift uses lenses that are focused to infinity which means that your eyes are in fact at total resting position while viewing the screen. In effect LESS of a strain than looking at a normal monitor!

@quiksilvers123 I meant you can already play Skyrim with the rift... Yea, console support hasn't been mentioned anywhere.

@oflow I have the dev kit and yes, it is quite bulky but it is SUPER light - there's really nothing to the device. Just a small circuit board and a very thin screen - the rest is just the plastic enclosure. A baby could wear this and not get tired...

@nathanmaxtro I heard that around next summer might be the release date - or you can buy the dev kit now which has a MUCH lower res and no positional tracking for around $300. I'm in the UK and have the dev kit - I paid another $50 for postage.

@gehwesij There is no heat at all. I've hav the dev kit turned on for over 10 hours at a time and not one bit of measurable heat comes from it. Super lightweight as well.

@666NightsInHell You're a little late with that comment as there's already a ton of games that work with just the dev kit - check here to see a growing list: http://www.riftenabled.com/

Also EVERY major developer has signed up offering support. I've got the dev kit and can say already that it is a freaking awesome experience playing using the rift!

@jdolleyart @cerealzateu You already can - I have a Rift and it works OK with a bit of tweaking! This is a free driver and list of games it supports (Skyrim included) http://vire.io/ Also search YouTube for "skyrim oculus rift" to see loads of vids...

I thought they said that they were always going to expand on the Mass Effect universe? It's just that Shepperd's story is concluded. Not sure why people are saying that EA is backtracking... Anyway - wonder if this new installment will be compatible / hackable to work with the Oculus Rift?

Sooo. therefore actually forcing people who've jailbroken their devices to actually bag themselves a cracked version (which will come out). Not sure about that move.
