[QUOTE="Chris_Williams"] nice one, some one get this guy a klondike bar, but really this is exactly whats happening back in the day when a game wanted to become known to a wider audience devs wanted to make it sophisticated and intricate and fun and challenging. Know when devs say they want it to become known to a wider audience lets take out the stealth elements and make the game play more run and gun because thats what kids are into, which is sadly trueemorainbo

If you're going to call it Metal Gear Conviction you're two years late.

MGS4 requires you to use no stealth at any point and even on the hardest difficulty you can go in guns blazing. Yet now all of a sudden your butt is hurt?

My guess is either you're trolling or just made that it's going to be on 360 so you're looking for any excuse to hate on it.

I dont believe this. Besides, Conviction forces you to go in guns blazing while MGS gives you a choice. Thats the difference.

It's the same in both games. In fact, one mission actually requires you to use stealth in the beginning of the mission.

" For this reason, Rising will feature fewer cut scenes than Metal Gear Solid 4. " Oh thank God. :lol:tagyhag

My thoughts exactly.

I loved MGS4 but seriously, it felt more like a movie rather than a game.

I've seen people beat the game in about 5 hours skipping cutscenes/dialogue. Watching those cutscenes/dialogue, game jumps to about 20 hours.

Talk about inflation. That's almost as bad as RPGs that make you run around doing pointless sidequests just to inflate the time.

CS1.6 then Gears of War

Lol @ people naming console shooters. I don't see the satisfaction when the hitbox is so huge you don't even need to aim at their head.

no combo with the Wii is the best comboJandurin

With the three consoles, yes it is.

Wii gets unnecessary amount of hate. It gets shovelware because it's the most popular system. Out of the PS2's library, about 30% of the titles were above A, same with the Wii.

anyone think or know if there is going to be exclusive content on the ps3 version?

ps3wizard45

All they've said is "extra content that makes this the perfect entry point"

By that, I hope that means ME1 and ME2 being on the same disc. A man can hope, right?

Lots of Ps3 fanboys got a raging boner for this game when they dissed it at first.

Well im not no lifer fanboy all i have to say is tha ME2 is without a doubt among the top 10 Rpgs of all time.

acasero44

Damn, you think ME2 is so good it's top 10 in a genre it's not even a part of?

I guess SMG2 is top 10 best FPS ever.

[QUOTE="texasgoldrush"][QUOTE="Filthybastrd"]

Since you're still here I'll chip in again.

Most of the choices resulted in what felt like cameo appearances in ME2. Sure, you can argue that fx the Krogan people can be led in two different cultural directions but it still does'nt change the way you play the game one bit.

Did you actually complete the game with a saved and a new Shepard? I did and it was entirely a matter of a different news on the radio, different people telling me (and making me do) pretty much the same things and a few short conversations that that can be summed up as "Hey, remember ME1? So do I!".

So does it change the story? Sort of... Slightly... Does it change the game? Nah.....

I don't see a problem regarding decisions carrying over to ME3 because frankly the way they did between ME1/ME2 was (dare I say it?) rather superficial.

Edit: Seems Bioware agrees with me since they intend to not release ME1 on the ps3.

Filthybastrd

No, Bioware cannot release ME1 on the PS3 because Microsoft won't allow it. Also, you think the death of not only a major character, but a very popular character won't matter??? The Krogen can go two different directions here. Christina Norman on twitter also confirmed that ME1 decisions will impact ME3...so now not only does the PS3 get a gimped ME2 but a gimped ME3 as well.

Actually, they can get two different leaders with not entirely similar (not entirely different for that matter) views. That does'nt actually say much about the Krogan race. Bioware are still free to spin it however they please.

And why do you think Grunt was introduced? Because you won't get Wrex no matter what. You and many others are seriously exxagerating the impact the ME1 decisions had on ME2 and will have on ME3.

Remember Ashley/Kaiden? That major decision resulted in 2 lines of intro dialgoue, a short conversation on one planet and an E-mail..... Huge impact right there....

Edit: And you did'nt answer me. Did you actually try both a saved and a new Shepard? Felt like the same game to me.

Editedit: And saving the Counsil? What a letdown..

Obviously it leads up to creating a super army to fight the Reapers. That's the whole point of keeping Wrex alive, because he's the leader of the Krogan and since you were a good friend of his, he'll help you out. Same with the Rachni. You think they're only going to appear in the first? Obviously saving them had long term implications.

That's two major allies you would be losing out on.

Maybe they won't release ME1 and add some sort of prologue to ME2 that covers most of what happened in the first.

They have to do something to make up for no ME1. What about Wrex and the Krogan? What about the Rachni? Mass Effect tries to focus on character interaction, creating relationships, etc. and not releasing the first kind of goes against that.
