This is not about Sony vs Microsoft. I'm rare on this board in the fact that I like them both. Both have their good and bad things.

The ps4 is clearly a more powerful machine out of the box. Microsoft has made a claim they can improve processing power by using the cloud. Does microsoft have an ace up it's sleeve and over time can use the cloud to improve the graphics and AI?

As more users connect to the cloud the theory is that the cloud because stronger. Does anyone know of a system that has proven that could work?

or

Is it all pr bs?

@amboyes@yosp you guys should play some Gears of War!

IF true it is a big win for sony. The first 3 Gears of War games are really solid. Infact Gears of War is a good measure on how the graphics on the consoles approved over time.

When the original Gears Of War launched it was the best looking game on any platform period. Gears of war 2-3 are big evolutions and showed how developers learned the hardware.

Solid games both single and mutliplayer

I"m looking at 2 machines that add features while at the same time take away standard features.

I see 2 machines while more powerful but presently do not offer a big upgrade over the current generation: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UdIpSpJyWSY&feature=c4-overview-vl&list=PLE196726F02565118

I don't see a killer app on either machine. Most of the content is still available on the current generation and the select few are really not that impressive.

Just do not see why anyone is hyped. This is probably the most minor of an upgrade from a previous generation in console history. APU's are great for power consumption but have limited power compared to a standard cpu/gpu setup.

With the game delays, lackluster libraries, and minor upgrades in graphics from the current generation I just don't see why anyone cares to upgrade right now.

This new generation launch looks like a hot mess on both sides. I think the smart people are going to wait it out because these launches look terrible.
