This was a disappointment but at least they came out and said it. Microsoft went back and forth and had to have there engineers admit there policies in interviews after the unveiling. The Gaikai tech legitimately requires a ton of computing power. We will actually see where the money is going. Xbox Live has always been a scam (I've had it since day one, 11 years) and Microsoft's talk about there mysterious cloud is complete bs no game other than MMO's, to my knowledge, has ever done the things they are talking about(offloading physics and A.I.) Developers have no experience implementing this stuff, I don't expect it to happen and I think Sony will be able to do it they choose to in the future.
Good bye Microsoft. You wont be missed. I hope Capcom puts Dead Rising 3 out on PS4 eventually. Love the series and the game looks to be everything I hoped for.
If you put zombies in a game in the current age of gaming you automatically lose one point. If the game runs at 30 fps in 720p that's another point off. 8/10 is about as good as this game could possibly be in my opinion. For a 10/10 you need an original concept. If other reviewers have low enough standards to give a game that's been made a 100 times over a perfect score they are embarrassing themselves. I have never played a game, seen a movie, or heard an album that I would give a perfect score.
I was getting pissed off just listening to these comments. How can you argue about a review for a game that has not been released yet? The only thing we know about it is its not perfect; nothing has ever been.
If your comparing Queen to Bach, Beethoven, and Stravinsky you need to educate yourself. The point of Fantasia was it was all classical masterpieces and I guarantee this game will not have demons with breasts showing, dancing erotically then turning into goats.
Disney is putting the Fantasia name on a Kinect game.
So, the original Fantasia was one of the greatest movies ever, gave animators massive freedom to be creative, was very controversial, did not make money for years, and most importantly used timeless music written by the most significant musical minds who ever lived. Fantasia has gone on to be one of the most beloved and enduring movies off all time across wildly varied demographics.
This game uses flavor of the week songs, is designed to make a profit in its first week, is made to be a kid friendly, and will only appeal to people under 20.
When I read the title of this article I nearly jumped out of my chair with excitement. Imagining an interactive experience in settings as compelling as the dinosaur segment based on Stravinsky's Rite of Spring, or The Devil segment based on Modest Mussorgsky Night on Bald Mountain. That wont happen. Its a shame Disney doesn't have enough respect for there own franchise to not put its name on a product that does not come from the same creative experimental place as its great predecessor.
