Its still a new technology. When DVD came out, it was crazy expensive. Anyone remember $40 DVD discs that were just a movie and MAYBE a trailer?
Fact is Blue-Ray's are outselling HD-DVD. Blue-Ray's space is what is going to allow it to push forward.
I don't care much for the movie format just yet though. Given time, when I can get a HDTV, then I might consider it.
Besides, PS3 is right on target of where it should be. Now that there is ACTUALLY software flow, things should begin to pick up even more. Its already sold a Million units. Its not doing bad. Its hard to say Microsoft is in 1st right now because they have a year head start.
Microsoft is making a HUGE mistake with Zeypher. A $479? upgrade that only consists of HDMI cables, a bigger harddrive, and a fresh coat of paint? Where is the Wireless internet support? Where is the HD-DVD support for when the DVD discs start running out of room? Where is the improved backwards compatability? Better processor? Better cooling system? My opinion is that THIS will be the nail that turns the tide. To me, a 360 owner, this is a BAD move. It screams fear to me.
