Nope this is the whole game. You go to an island find a treasure, and then go the next one. There's no goal, and definitely nothing else to do in a game about pirates

I never implied it would be the entire game. But it needs lots of multi-tiered loot , a story, preferably some cinematic and a good combat. Is this a F2P like Fable Legends was gonna be or a $60 retail title. If it is F2P I then my expectations would drop significantly.

To be fair, if we compare this to something like No Man's Sky a lot of Sony fans were jumping up and down with anticipation for that and it had none of that...not shown nor implied, so why does this game need to leap frog a Sony title with so much more content to be worthy of hype or existence? And oh yeah lol NMS also retailed for $60 so I am afraid I disagree with your stance on this one good sir.

I am not saying you specifically hyped NMS, I am just pointing out a similar type game was not subjected to the type of scrutiny you have for people to be get excited about a MS title.

It's not so important that Rare have to run down a bullet point check list of things that must be in the game for it to be acceptable like a lot of other idiot mainstream copy-cat devs who release the same forgettable generic titles over and over again saying "if we have this, this, this and that then it should be a hit".

What matters is that the content they do have in the game is FUN *so many Devs miss this mark* and something people want to come back to and play again. Trying to trivialize what a game has/shows by suggesting it needs x list of things before it can be worthwhile won't guarantee it will successful or FUN. Ditch the check list, you won't know if it's good until you try. If Nintendo has taught us anything it's that SIMPLE can be fun and successful.

I always like to judge a game by what it has...and what Sea of Thieves has shown actually does looks fun to me. I couldn't ever say the same thing for NMS.

Quality post.

Quality, but misguided. Coming at me with some talk about No Man's Sky just because I'm a Sony fan was way off target. I was never impressed with that game. And no I don't judge a game by what it has offer. If there are things that if present would make substantially better then it should be taken into account when critiquing said game.

@the_master_race: Sony recently took over the publishing rights so probably never. Looks like they don't want another Demon's Souls situation.

I'm interested, but is probably last on my list of exclusiveach for early 2017. Probably still day one though. That is how stacked Sony's first 4 months are.

@casharmy: I was never impressed with No Man's Sky. I was just listing the content that this game would need to have to appeal to me. I'm not saying it needs to have that content to be fun for anyone else. I looks like a game in the vain of Destiny, The Division(sucks) or Borderlands and those games all have the content I described to some extent.

The fact that all you from treasure is a bit of money is a bit underwhelming. The needs to unique loot victory expect people to keep playing/grinding. Also I hope the mission variety gets a bit more complex than this. I guess this game won't have a campaign at all?

MLB The Show

Bloodborne

TLOU multiplayer

inFAMOUS

God Of War

If we are just talking pure gameplay which I assume means ignoring presentation(which is dumb).

No, I climbed it.

What's your PSN? Let's see the trophies.

You don't need my PSN, this is as far as I could stand to play this game, it's paced pretty poorly, the amount of climbing is absolutely absurd and I don't care about the story taking place because the lack of good flowing gameplay has caused me not to care about what is happening.

They went too far with this kind of mundane arduous crap, there's no meat on this bone.

Fair enough. Like I said before I can understand the complaints, but it didn't bother me. My biggest complaint was that the collectibles were mostly worthless.

If you can understand these complaints can I take that as even if it didn't bother you that you've noticed them?

I notice them in way that I could see why some people might be turned off by some design choices. but while I was playing I personally never felt like it was boring or tedious. I didn't look at any reviews or critiques until I finished the game so I didn't any preconceived notions while playing through it.

I guess I should not be surprised. There absolutely zero reason for this game to be always online except to prevent piracy. Very shitty of them.

Yeah, just wait until you realize that climbing is the most used mechanic in the game...

Did you play it?

No, I climbed it.

Why buy an xbox now when the scorpio will be out in a year and have more features?

Unless it costs $600...........

If you believe consumers are waiting on the Scorpio then you are crazy.

I'm waiting for it along with millions of others. Why is that so hard to believe? There are PS4 owners who are waiting for it as well. lol!!

What do you think of this?

http://venturebeat.com/2016/12/08/playstation-4-pro-helps-sonys-console-outsell-xbox-one-in-november-in-the-u-s/

Not surprised. That was pretty much a given. Did something think Sony wouldn't win in November with the PS4 Pro launching?

Yes. Some Xbox fanboys have convinced themselves that the lack of UHD will be the doom of the PS4. Most gamers don't give a shit about that. The people that are buying Xbox One S mostly for the disc player probably won't be buying or playing many games. Isn't that what was said about the PS3 last generation?
