I watched the reveal and while it did get my attention I didn't like the focus on entertainment. I want a gaming console I don't need it for my tv. Now I also cant afford brand new games all the time so I use gamefly so now I might have to pay to play a gamefly game? I am not taking this straight I will wait and see if microsoft again confirms it. Otherwise if this is true I 100% agree that it will hurt MS.
@telaros You bring up exactly how SE is acting right now sir. I love FF7 TBH though it is a classic to me and I would be better off working on the games they are. Tomb raider was great and from what I can see the new hitman is too but I have not played it and sleeping dogs I have coming through gamefly. Still looking at the sales I'd say 1.75 million copies for a new IP in sleeping dogs is pretty damn good and 3.4 million for tomb raider and 3.6 million is great as well. Still SE has been caught behind because of managment.
They believe these 3 games should rise them above. Why? cause they got good ratings? Seriously square let's take tomb raider alone and in a month the game has sold 3.4 million. I would say that that's a good start to getting a company on track make a sequel that's better and you will get more money.
Three games will not bring a company out of debt. Still you guys are on the right track so stop whining and bring the games you have been promising us.
I understand that the internet is always on but having a console that's required to be always on especially to play a game is stupid. We should have the choice to have it on or not. I really hope this rumor is false. It's just not right. I like to have the internet on but if it was required and lets say I couldnt pay a bill and don't have the internet now I can't play the game right? It is a stupid requirement. Also my internet randomly disconnects now and then so I would constantly loose game progress.
I understand that there is always gonna be a console war. Still Nolan to call a console lame is not really what I would consider professional and if he is trying to draw gamers in that is not gonna work. Personally I liked everything I have seen so far from the Ps4 except the fact of no backward compatability. I can't really say anything bout the next xbox though cause well other than the rumors which don't sound too promising nothing has been shown.
Still IMO every console has its good and bad especially when it comes to wii/wiiU, Ps3, and xbox 360. I personally prefer my ps3. I also like the wii u but can't afford it right now. Still this story is pointless I want to hear bout what the next xbox has spec wise not some dumb opinion from someone with nothing to back it up.
Okay I don't know how this lady is using the term deranged gamer. Is she saying the games like Call of duty which he was reportedly playing constantly made him into a killer? The kid had some mental issues to begin with one of them was said on the news the other night I can't remember but it was a story on cbs.
My point is the mom knew of his conditions and actually bought him guns. He also had access to the ones in his house. Now maybe playing a shooter constantly in a shutout didn't really help but it wasn't the F***kn games that made him go nuts.
I am not trying to defend the kid or anything. All I want is for the stupid politicians blaming games for all the violent gun acts in this world to shut up and look at the real problem and that's the mental health.
This BS with these politicians is getting ridiculous. Seriously guns have been around for how long now and how long has violence been around? Everyone knows the answer. Now games are getting more violent I agree but it's not like when I put in a FPS or third person shooter or ninja gaiden or assassins creed etc, I want to go out and hurt someone or worse kill.
My point is and I am sure everyone will agree is we all choose the actions we make and we all know that games are virtual and not real. Same with movies. Politicians need to look at the real problem and that's the shooters who pull the trigger.
Really Murphy seriously? If games are the cause for violence why aren't we all committing violent acts? Also last I checked violence was around LONG before the first video game was ever made. Now all of a sudden shooters are influenced by video games? Seriously Murphy do you not have anything better to do than to fix THE REAL PROBLEM and stop blaming video games for a persons SELF AWARE ACT?
