Chrono Cross (PSX) -- Fantastic, colorful graphics. Simplistic and sharp gameplay. Engrossing storyline. Loveable characters. Tons of replay. My absolute favorite game of all time. Shenmue 1 & 2 (DC/Xbox) -- For it's time Shenmue was, in my opinion, one of the most innovative games of the past 15 years. Fantastic graphics and character models mixed with such an in-depth gameplay system, it was leaps and bounds ahead of most games of it's time. Kudos if only for the fact that you could collect those little toys from the bubble machines or play classic SEGA arcade games as a distraction. "Have you seen any sailors?" Goldeneye 007 (N64) -- Probably one of the games that holds the most memories for me, going over to friends' houses in middle school on the weekends and playing this all night long. Set the high-water mark for FPS games that very few have met with simple, addictive gameplay and intense multiplayer. Stack with Prox Mines, good times. Super Mario Bros 3 (NES) -- Classic platformer with revamped graphics (for the time) and added reward system. Great game, one of my favorites growing up. Mass Effect 1 & 2 (Xbox 360) -- Gripping storyline, beautiful graphics, engaging characters, and enough side-quests and exploration capabilities to keep any gamer busy for a very long time. Kudos for stirring up controversy too for the "graphic sex scenes" in the first Mass Effect that showed less than most PG-13 movies. It was because she was blue wasn't it? NAACP should've had a field-day with that one. World of Warcraft (PC) -- Yes, Warcrack. Although I've been sober for over a year now, I've been playing on and off since release. It definitely didn't introduce anything new to the RPG world, but it sure as hell made it fun! Best thing about WOW is the fact that it's a game that anyone can get in to in a short time span, not just the geeky kid who sits at the back of the classroom. Good job Blizzard for making such a genre-changing game. LFG SM Cath pst. Half-Life: Counter-Strike (PC) -- One of the best online-FPS games of all time, balanced "Good Guy vs Bad Guy" gameplay and realistic modern combat made this a definite Hall Of Famer. AWP Campers FTL.
