Hi,

Is it ok to leave discs in the PS3? Anyone else leave discs in their PS3?

The reason I ask is that's in instruction manuals for both the hardware and software it reads after playing store the discs back in their cases. Normally I do take them out and put them back in the cases but the game I was playing (Black Ops) I planned on playing again in a few hours time and thought I may as well leave it inside. If it is ok I may leave in inside if I play it the next day too. I have switched disc auto start off.

I assume when they say store the discs back in their cases it means rather then leaving discs scattered around on the table. I don't know why it should cause any harm leaving them in the PS3 for a short period of time.

I have infinite ammo for a handgun, shotgun, machine gun and a magnum so far. I gave Sheva the same weapons but she only seems to want to use the hand gun now it has infinite ammo which is not the most powerful of weapons. I have even tried requesting the handgun from her. Do I really have to give her only one weapon I prefer her to use? Or can you assign a primary weapon?

When I was playing MW2 online on Monday for every kill I got +50 came up on screen, when I went to play MW2 on Tuesday I was advised that an update for the game (version 1.10) was now available for download, which I assumed is to get the game ready for the new mappacks I heard about. Anyway after I installed the update and started to play MW2 online for every kill I got +100 is now displayed. When I bring up the score board it still works out as 50 per kill for instance 4 kills = 200 score. Anyone else noticed this?I'm not quite sure why it comes up with +100 excluding any buzz kills revenge kill etc.Anyway since visiting the Modern Warfare 2 web site I read the following

MW2 Double XP Weekend
03.22.2010-The first Modern Warfare 2 Double XP weekend is coming April 2nd to Xbox LIVE worldwide! Just in time for the Stimulus Package arrival on March 30th.

Am I to assume that the above is happening for PS3 players as well?

Also would I be correct in now thinking that whenever + and a figure comes up on screenwhen you make a kill it is not referring to score but XP earned?

Anyone know the name of the game by the following description.

It's a tank combat game with tanks which kind of reminded me of the Tron tanks. It was released on PS-one.

I have the original release of Fallout 3 and plan on getting the game of the year release and get all the add on packs.

Do save games saved using the original release work with the game of the year release?

Alsowould the game of the year release install separate game data files or would it just update the game data files that were installed with the original release?

I have a PS3 with a 40GB hard drive fitted, I have a 500GB HD waiting to be fitted. My HD is about half full but I would like to back up the game data and the game saves, I'm not too bothered about the video clips I downloaded from the PSN as they can be downloaded again, I was thinking of getting a 16GB USB flash stick but once I have backed up the PS3 data and restored it onto the new drive I wouldn't have much use for it after that and it seems a waste of money.

So I was thinking is it possible to just remove the original drive, place it in an external hard drive enclosure then install the new drive and use the original drive to restore onto the newly installed drive?

Or can I get an external HD what you would normally use for a PC which would be more useful to me after backing up and restoring data to the PS3? After that I can reformat it from the FAT system to the NTFS one for use with my PC.

Right I have installed the latest PS3 Software 2.52 and I have done a restore default settings and when I scan for networks after selecting wireless if finds other networks except for mine. I am beginning to think my router is the problem even though my Nokia 95 can find the wireless network. Anyone else have problems with D-Link routers? I have a DIR-635

Maybe D-Link is not 100% Playstation compatible, as my PSP is not picking up the wireless signal. Anyone else use D-Link routers without any problems?

Yes, I have the USB charge cable to charge the controller, I'm not sure if this would help with wireless problems though but I will give it a try as you suggested.
