There is no excuse for lazy English. It is colour, just as in armour or flavour, etc.
The real question is, why is America the only country left in the World that is refusing to adopt the Metric system for ALL units?! They just HAVE to be resistant to rational change, as if change is somehow "un-American". Pathetic.

2. Switching from US customary to metric is a huge waste of time and money. Converting values from either requires simple math...

I wouldn't call them overrated, seems they get more hate then they deserve. There are much worse bands out there (like the Sex Pistols, damn them:x). Well maybe not overrated but I do dislike how they try to cling onto this punk image as if they are punk rockers. Its pretty lame and I completely agree with you on the Sex Pistols. Very overrated and completely manufactured. Green Day I would say are sort of todays Sex Pistols but the Sex Pistols did have the originality thing as it was a fledgling genre that they played in but they were completely fabricated by Malcolm McLaren. Green Day however are the essence of hot topic punk, poseur, etc.I'd understand if they claimed to be punk 15 years ago, even though they were more of a pop-band. I'm not sure if anybody today would view them as even remotely punk. I can atleast tolerate the music, Sex Pistols on the other hand comes out as unlistenable and pretentious.
