The Witcher fails on the most basic levels of mechanics, they can throw all of the content in the world into one of their games and it would still be terrible due to the awful controls and menus and tutorials. I don't see how anyone who actually played The Witcher 2 could actually be excited for a sequel to that unpolished hunk of code.
I'm not really seeing this argument Tom. At the end of the article you mention that trying to appeal to a larger crowd by providing options like Kinect and Smartglass support but not requiring them detracts from the experience when in reality those are likely insignificant and tertiary mechanics to the actual game. No one is going to stare at their phone while playing this game. Also a lot of the humor in the game came from the stark contrast of themes where these ridiculous characters and scenarios were inserted into a terrible and dark situation.
I don't know how much of the game you have seen but we have only seen one 6 minute trailer clearly designed to show off mechanics which hardly seems like enough to warrant such a pessimistic article.
Good luck trying to say it's in the best interest of fun when you have lag in a single player game and are unable to play because the servers are down. This will also likely hinder modding. I can't think of something in a game that makes me angrier than a developer directly hampering an experience and then lying about it.

He is a US soldier who planned and kill 5 unarmed afghan civilans. He was put on trial and imprisoned for five years for 5 murders. No one wants to talk about the much larger statistic of how we have absolutely terrorized Iraq and Afghanistan. The death toll for Afghanistan civilians due to the war is estimated to be between 30 thousand and 60 thousand, a number 5 to 10 times greater than the number of US soldier deaths, of all documented civilian deaths, a larger percentage of them were caused by direct US Attacks, not domestic insurgents. I'm fine with you talking about how modern shooters bother you, they have started to uspet me as well, especially the steotypical tough guy soldier they try to portray when in reality one of the greatest leaders in our death toll comes from suicide, but next time, try to be more considerate of all sides when you try to post an article on a site as respectable as Gamespot.
